Yeah, that’s my thread! I’m replacing my wp-admin and wp-includes folder with clean install files, so hopefully that works out.

I basically did this yesterday via my FTP, but I’ll try via the client’s GD account.

Reinstalled and getting the same error.

Yes, just did a reinstall of 4.0 through GD and still getting this error.

I had this same problem when upgrading to 4.0 yesterday.

You may be able to force a cache on the update by going to https://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php

If that doesn’t work, I was able to fix everything by replacing my functions.php with a clean version from my theme. Only do this if you have put any customizations to your site’s WP functions in a custom-functions.php file.

functions.php is in your theme folder in wp-content on your server.

Deactivated pug ins, problem still persists.

Tried installing Twenty Fourteen to test that and got this error:

Fatal error: Class ‘File_Upload_Upgrader’ not found in /home/content/94/11299994/html/wp-admin/update.php on line 237

The client uses GoDaddy.

Yeah, I’m getting another error on my plug ins. I want to see if upgrading works first, as many are outdated.

EDIT: I’ll try deactivating now and see if that works.
