I understand your concern, you have no mean to know if the espaced data come from the original value of the field or were created by wordpress. May be a config option could let the plugin user decide which behaviour he wishes.

Yes I have, actually it is needed to at least give the users rights on “NextGen gallery global view” (I hope it is called like that because I use the plugin’s french translation, anyway it is the first option in Other Options/Roles&Permissions menu).ie if this option has been setup on subscriber the error dissapear for any user which has at least this role. The drawback is: he has access to the nextgen galley menu showing the number of galleries, albums, and pictures…
Otherwise, look’s like if the NextGEN menu couldn’t be added to the wordpress dashboard panel .

I made some additional tests.

The notice is apparently triggered by a conflict with an other plugin (WP-Members) that add meta-fields to the user profile.

When I disable the WP-Members plugin the notice dissapear.

I had the same problem and I got it fixed by using the modified version of phpflickr found here:
