In reply to: [OpenHook] OpenHook hooks goneNo, I don’t mind! It’s https://ontonagonmi.org.
I learned how to use OpenHook with Thesis years ago and even though I’m definitely no coder, I was able to arrange things how I wanted them on my various web sites. When Thesis went to 2.0, I just couldn’t grasp it and was moving on to other things by then. But I still maintain those older sites and depend on the plugin to make any needed changes.
BTW, the next day after I posted above, after upgrading OpenHook to 4.2.1, things were wonky again. So this time I’m sticking with 4.0.1. I don’t know why the original site I posted about is working with Thesis 1.8.9 and OH 4.2.1 and this one isn’t, but it’s no big deal. ??

In reply to: [OpenHook] OpenHook hooks goneNever mind – today I had the idea to try an older version of the plugin, and that brought the hooks back. Then I updated it and everything still seems fine. So I’m good, thank you! ??

In reply to: [OpenHook] OpenHook hooks goneHi and thanks for replying. Sorry it took me so long to get back. I did try deleting and reinstalling the plugin and it worked; I got my hooks back. Now I’m having the same problem on another site and yet the same steps didn’t work this time. In fact, even when OpenHook is installed and activated, it doesn’t show up anywhere in the menu, not under Thesis, not under Settings, nothing. So I can’t even access the action groups.
If you can provide any assistance, I would be very grateful. This is for my local chamber of commerce and the site is broken at the moment. ??
Thanks!

In reply to: [Simple Business WP] How to create hyperlinks in About sectionJust a quick bump to see if anyone can help…
I’m having the same problem as the original poster. My theme is Thesis 1.8.5. I know it’s probably compatible with newer versions of Thesis, but I don’t like the newer versions of Thesis. So I’m hoping there’s a fix I can employ. Thanks!

In reply to: WP125 for adsHi alfieb, I ended up using the AdRotate plugin, but haven’t gotten too deep into it yet – other projects have been sucking up my time.
But what I’m doing is having advertisers fill out a form, choose an ad size, pay for it, and then I’m creating the ad for them and putting it into the rotation. The advertisers I’m expecting to get for the site are local and not tech-savvy enough in general to submit their own ads. Don’t know if that helps you or not. ??
Thanks for the info about WP125!

In reply to: WP125 for adsI realize this thread is kind of old but I’m having the same issue – would love to be able to use WP125 in BOTH sidebars. If I insert the php tag in the right sidebar, it just shows the same ads as the left sidebar does.
Does anyone know how to set up a second “zone” in WP125 or is that not possible?

In reply to: Top-level navigation item to have no link?Well, I will have to fiddle some more – I can’t get it to disappear, but I am googling for more info now. Thanks again for your help – you have made my day. ??

In reply to: Top-level navigation item to have no link?Perfect! It worked! Thank you so, so much.
Side note: I thought adding “list-style: none;” would take away the bullet too – do you know how I would do that? (If I may presume upon your kindness one more time…)

In reply to: Top-level navigation item to have no link? Thanks, stvwlf. Here’s the site if you have a couple seconds: https://ridetheup.com/
In the sidebar, I’ve already unlinked “Ontonagon County,” but I want it to not look like a link either if possible.

In reply to: Top-level navigation item to have no link?I’m not sure why you say that – this thread exactly answered my original question and I’m asking for clarification on one thing the above poster instructed. ….?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Top-level navigation item to have no link? Also, adding cursor: default to the CSS for the top level element removes the pointer cursor when the field is hovered over. It is still a link but it doesn’t look like a link to the user. And if it is clicked it stays on the same page.
I would love to do this, but I’m not sure where to put “cursor: default.” Here’s the only place parent is referenced in my style sheet:
} #access ul li.current_page_item > a, #access ul li.current-menu-ancestor > a, #access ul li.current-menu-item > a, #access ul li.current-menu-parent > a { color: #fff; } * html #access ul li.current_page_item a, * html #access ul li.current-menu-ancestor a, * html #access ul li.current-menu-item a, * html #access ul li.current-menu-parent a, * html #access ul li a:hover { color: #fff; }
Can someone point me in the right direction, please? Much thanks!

In reply to: How can I fix this alignment?Thank you, I’m glad it looks okay in IE. I will try adding the code you gave, alchymyth, thanks.
kmessinger, thanks for the heads-up about the errors. I’m not surprised! This is the blog I started learning WordPress with and it’s probably a mess. I haven’t had the time to give it the attention it deserves; hopefully I will soon. I appreciate your help!
