In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] PHP 7.2 syntax errors in 2.1.0 updateThan you so much Brandon! With your findings I was able to fix my site that was completely down because of those two little commas.
May I ask, what tool did you use to find the syntax errors?
public_html/wp-content/plugins/facebook-for-woocommerce/includes/Products.php on row 1181 was detected an error E_PARSE. Error message: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’
Hi Pit,
I was really hesitant to do this and tried to find alternative ways until now. Last time I tried it, I was left in a limbo and couldn’t connect to Facebook and since FB didn’t detect a pixel on my site they revoked my Business Manager account and I couldn’t do anything… But that got sorted (though not easily) and now as I did what you suggested, it seems I’ve finally got things right. Thank you so much for helping me out!
Hi,
To my understanding, my underlying problem is that I was stupid enough to try and start using an old pixel when I first setup my website. Then, when I realized quite a lot had changed in FB, I switched to a new pixel that was connected to a Business Manager created page / ad account / etc. And that’s when everything went to shit.
Now the plugin is sending the product information to my personal profile’s product catalog. I’m quite sure that’s note even supposed to be possible, but that’s what’s going on. Maybe parts of the old pixel are still active on the site because FB seems to be getting information for that too even though the plugin is showing the new pixel’s ID.
I’m not sure where you want me to take the screenshot from? The plugin? One of the FB myriad of admin pages?
If I try to manage the plugin from “Manage the Connection” button, I get an error message from FB:
“Error on managing Facebook Business Extension
Please set up Facebook Business Extension first before managing settings.”As for Ad Account, the plugin doesn’t even show an ID, just a dash (-).
