In reply to: permalinks not working correctlyThanks esmi…I went to go and deleted it and noticed the server never had one. So, apparently, it isn’t allowed. I’m doing this for a friend and am not quite familiar with their server. So, I guess the absence of the .htaccess and the fact that I cannot add one is what is causing the problems.

In reply to: permalinks not working correctlyThis page works: [link removed]
The author (click the author’s name to go here: [link removed]) comes up as a blank page. However, if you try to access the author page via [link removed] it works…Sorry I didn’t include that earlier.

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Uploading highres images with flash uploaderIn NextGen, create a gallery then using an FTP client upload the pictures into the gallery’s folder. Then, go back into the gallery in NextGen and tell it to scan/add new pictures in the folder. This is the easiest way to do it for a lot of large images…even easier than the flash uploaded, IMO

In reply to: major CGI problemI’ve tried to change the permalinks to not include index.php in the custom structure, then it breaks everything but the homepage…

In reply to: major CGI problemI’ve also tried changing permalinks. For some reason, all three of the “pretty permalinks” options have index.php in theme…is that causing the problem?

In reply to: Limit on links?WOW! Who needs that many links? I’ve only got like 7 on my blog. I would narrow that list down or get some sort of link management. I think there was some sort of plugin for this on WordPress that I seen at some point, never used it nor can I remember the name…
But for your visitors sake, I would create a completely separate links page.

In reply to: How to remove virus?Well, I had an experience where someone or something must have gotten my password and was changing some HTML code in my themes. It stopped after I changed my wp admin password and also my server/cpanel password to make sure they couldn’t change the files from my server either.
I never did have iframes though. People would just alter my code.
