Hi, It’s been two weeks. Is anyone out there? Can I get some help? Maybe after New Year’s Day?
Update: I have updated to WP 3.5, same symptoms: sidebar displays correctly with tag cloud widgets. When user clicks on a tag in the cloud, they are taken to a page with the tag name as a title, but there is no content on the page.

Additional details: blog is hosted by Yahoo using PHP v5.3.6
and MySql v.5.1.55

I was in same situation, I too did a ton of searches, and though I’m a patient man, I was beginning to pound my head against the wall.

Why isn’t this on the main WP instruction page for RSS feeds?
It’s such a basic thing to want to do?

Please add me to the list of people who would very much like to see this capability (the parent category NOT showing all the children category POSTS.

A Plug-in to solve this problem would be nice, sorry I’m incapable of writing one.

I suspect that most people would prefer that by default the parent category NOT show all the children category Posts, or at least have a simple check box option for making it so. I humbly suggest that WP consider changing this in the next version.

Let’s say you want the category to have a password. (and preferably it would be visible in the menu list)
How would you go about doing that?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I too would like to link to a static page external from wordpress. My webhost uses WordPress version 2.2 beta.

I’ve tried using the Redirectify plug-in (v 1.6), I’ve also tried using: cg-redirect.php. I couldn’t get either one to work.

When you click on a button that has a redirect script attached to it, a new page opens with the following error meassage:
The document has moved here.
(when you click on “here”, the same error page reloads)

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I really need to have prominent links to the main part of my website (outside of WordPress). I am using the Blix theme. Any help given will be greatly appreciated.
