I have used a static index.php and then edited .htaccess to point the permalinks to ‘view.php’, same file as index.php but with The Loop.

I had seen that thread. What I need is something continuous over time. Besides the entries already exist, I only need the comments.

Ali_ix: That could work, instead of a rounded box, a square box could be easier to render for IE5.

The error only shows when the window is somewhat wider than that. It’s centering the content window in some sections, and the menu in others.
