Thanks, I’ve replied to the email from support.
I’ve also tried using the repair tools and they don’t appear to have caused any issues.
They unfortunately didn’t resolve my issue. Many thanks for your quick reply and creating such a useful plugin!
Thanks for replying…
The information in your terms document, suggests to me that it’s in reference to personal data that you collect from your customers via your website.
I’m just tying to establish the GDPR compliance of the Imagify plugin, in relation to the visitors of the websites I install the plugin on.
The response above doesn’t exactly confirm if my assumptions are correct or not.
Would you agree that these statements are correct?
- The Imagify plugin doesn’t set any cookie files or local storage that contain personal data.
- The Imagify plugin doesn’t have any settings that can be changed to improve GDPR compliance.
- There isn’t any information that you are aware of, which I should be adding to the Privacy Policy’s on the websites that I install the Imagify plugin on.
Hi there,
I’ve sent an email to [email protected] and got a reply back to confirm my request had been received and is being reviewed by our support staff.
I haven’t heard anything more and it’s been a week now.I’m keen to resolve this quickly, as it’s effecting important backups.
I’ve tested your plugin with BackWPUp in another environment and it worked fine, so there’s no conflict in a normal environment.
The thing I’m most inclined to try, is the “Repair database & text” tool within your plugin, as I’m convinced there is a corrupt database table relating to your plugin, which is causing the backups to fail.
I’m really concerned about using this tool, as the client has likely spent a lot of time setting up their availability and I get the feeling that I’m going to loose all that data if I use this tool. Can you confirm if this is correct or not?
I’ve recently had to use this tool on an almost fresh install of the plugin on a new site and it did reset options that I’d configured.
Also is there anyway of exporting availability data, so that it could be re-imported if anything did reset?
I realise that loosing availability data wouldn’t be as bad as loosing all the website data due to no backups, but if the tool to fix problems looses the data entered, it’s a bit of an issue with the plugin with no import/export feature.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ll be recommending clients upgrade to your premium plugin, to improve GDPR compliance via backup encryption.
P.S. My other account was closed. I didn’t realise duplicate accounts weren’t allowed.

I did search your plugin page and support forum for GDPR before messaging, but hopefully if someone else does the same, they’ll find the link via this post.
Thanks for providing such a useful plugin.

My best option is going to be using custom built templates against a Blog and Press page then, instead of trying to acheive both layouts from the standard post archive template.
I thought this might be the case, but wanted to check I wasn’t making life difficult for myself.I’ve also recently learnt about https://css-tricks.com/almanac/properties/o/object-fit/

In reply to: [WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps)] Map shows front end but not in adminHello again,
I changed the map height to 400px, which got the map to display again in the admin area.
I’ve adjusted the alignment and switched it back to 100%.
Many thanks for the tip…

In reply to: [WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps)] Map shows front end but not in adminHi there,
I assumed Command + U was probably the alternative, but it doesn’t do anything, which is why it would be useful to know what program you should be using when pressing this shortcut.
The map height is set to 100%. https://snag.gy/hQjW07.jpg

In reply to: [WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps)] Map shows front end but not in adminHi there,
I’m having the same problem… https://snag.gy/x2ImOh.jpg
I’m using a Mac and I’m assuming the CTRL + U is a Windows based command and I guess it matters which browser you’re using.
I have two pins on my map now and the map is still centered around the original pin.
I can’t seem to resolve this without access to the map in the admin area.Regards,
Kirk

In reply to: [WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps)] Map not showingOK, sorry my solution isn’t helping you.
I’ve had the problem before and it was due to me removing the wp_footer(); function from my footer file, as detailed here… https://www.wpgmaps.com/documentation/troubleshooting/my-map-is-not-showing-on-my-website/
I guess this isn’t your problem either though, as an update wouldn’t have caused that.Although it’s a pain, if you haven’t already done so, it’s worth disabling all other plugins and resorting back to a default theme, such as TwentySixteen etc, to see if the problem still occurs. If the map then starts to dispaly, you’ll know that it’s a conflicting theme or plugin issue.
