thanks for the quick reply! I set this up for client a while back. This was a message they sent me:

“The plugin is blocking certain legitimate users based on their IP addresses. And then when they request to be added to the white list, they are left wondering what will happen next. It would be nice if we could both improve the messaging in this process, and also if I could an e-mail notifying me of a new white list request, I could log in right away to approve their IP address.”

We updated the plugin recently and saw the option to send email notification to admin if someone is requesting to not be blocked so we are trying this route.

Another note, this morning client showed me 10 new requests from same email.. happening almost exactly every 10 seconds. But fishy thing is it looks like a legitimate email address.. he recognizes it from there database. And the comment is related to the site. I told him someone must have hijacked this email and it was spam. Have you ever seen this?

Thanks for your feedback. It’s a great plugin. Maybe the auto-response feature is something to consider for an update.

nevermind I just changed them to text fields

note, i wrote “Also i noticed that https:// is required in the url, simply typing www mysite.com doesn’t work. The site added the https:// in my post.

and yes I checked your test link on browserstack and confirm that it looks good in IE9 so it’s not a browser issue alone.

ok thanks for checking that. It works fine in IE10 and IE11 so we might just keep it and not worry about IE9 for now. Manager is considering and will probably discuss with client. Even so, once we get back a development environment and I can access this on a PC i’ll have another look and see if I can pinpoint what JS is causing conflict.

we normally work in a dev environment but were having issues with the dev site. I’ll have to check on the status of the dev site here and test off of that. It’s still hard to troubleshoot because I’m on a Mac and the problem is only on IE9.

The site is live and I won’t be able to switch themes. The theme is Kakia and it’s been customized for the client. I won’t be able to change it.

Just as a test I removed the respond.min.js file but it didn’t fix it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I’m using browserstack primarily to test this and can’t see if there is a javascript issue. I had a coworker look on his computer and he got the same preview in IE9 as browserstack did and said he didn’t get javascript error. I don’t have access to his computer now to confirm this. I wish I could give you more info. I’ve tested it on a couple of different virtual servers and one laptop with the same result. Like I said, works beautifully everywhere else. Leave it to IE to spoil the party. Would love to get this to work. If you have any other questions I’ll respond right away. Thanks for looking at this.
