Thanks but you are asking me to do what others have done and which has not made the slightest difference. There is something wrong and it needs to be fixed instead of suggesting we all go through a series of steps that dont work.

I am having similar problem plus the following: The timestamp doesn’t work; the tags box wont accept tags, the TinyMCE buttons wont drag and drop; I cannot use “Quick Edit”; the HTML menu bar has disappeared. This is so so annoying particularly the timestamp! In short WP 3.3 is a total mess.

none of this makes sense. i have a WP hosted blog with Akismet already installed and activated. i cannot find the api key anywhere. i tried the register with wordpress.com etc but obviously my blog url doesnt link in with the new wordpress.com api which is just a username registration,

i have seached through all the posts on this topic but still cannot figure out where this api key is – its certainly not in my profile!

same problem – the plugin doesnt even show up on my wp plugins. also tried using it with the digg-it +share plugin and although i ticked the “share it” box etc still wouldnt work.

any other suggested similar plugin?
