What do you mean? If is a link , just add it at the menu control.
If not, you shoud edit the code at the header.php
<?php wp_nav_menu( array( 'theme_location' => 'primary', 'menu_class' => 'nav-menu' ) ); ?>
Just change it to what ever you like? Please let me know when you solve it.

Yes, you can hide the feature image at the theme options.

First,Archive display options > Display thumbnail,you can cancel it.
Second,Single display options > Display thumbnail,you can cancel it.

Yes, you can disabled pingbacks at the wordpress admin.Look at the Settings > Discussion > Default article settings
and you can find the option “Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks) “,so you can disabled.

I don’t know if it works. But it was the only thing I could come up with. Hope it help and if it works please let me know.
