In reply to: [Backup & Restore Dropbox] Future Dropbox supportHi,
Using latest WP 4.8.2 and “Dropbox Backup & Restore“ 1.6 ( no updates indicated by WP ) and I am still getting the “v1_retired” error when attempting to do a backup to Dropbox.
I have renewed the Dropbox access token a couple of times via the “Connect to Dropbox”/”Request Access Code” buttons and I get another warning during that process that says:
“The old version of the Dropbox platform is being retired on September 28, 2017. The developer of this app has yet to acknowledge the change, so this app may not continue to work in the future.”
Not sure what else I need to do to switch this plugin to use API v2
I have a similar issue – just tried to install Master Slider (as it looks very promising) and will most likely buy the PRO version but right now although the plugin activates – only the ‘Master Slider -> settings’ option seems to do anything reliably.
The other option, Master Slider -> Master Slider did one time show a grid of sample options and a custom option which I selected but then nothing just a blank panel was displayed and since then all I get is a blank panel (even if i deactivate and reactivate the plugin).

I’ve done a search of a freshly created extract of the 4.4.2 version using find and grep and I’m getting the following results:

I’ll go back to 4.3.2 again until you release a newer version and then try again.
Ok, having gotten it working again with 4.3.2 I then deleted that directory folder from the plugins directory and tried re-installing 4.4.2 manually as you suggested before and again got the same error when trying to activate it.

Ok thank you. That worked. I went back to version 4.3.2 and the plugin activated just fine.

I understand what your saying and I used to do development in PHP myself in the past but it does seem odd that even when I wipe the plugin directory completely and then reinstall just the 4.4.2 version of the shortcodes ultimate plugin it persisted in reporting that require_once error on activating the plugin.
[ In the short term, where can I get the previous version of the plugin ? My bad I know, I should have made a backup before. ]

Hi,
I don’t get the chance to do a manual deletion since I have already removed the plugin via the Admin interface. The shortcodes-ultimatedirectory disappears from the wp-content/plugin folder. I have no option to manually remove the directory.
I verified that by looking in a terminal on the file system:
