    So, if I have 20 posts, does a dropdown appear to enable the visitor to find the rest that aren’t shown? Or is this just the last 5 posts?

    I had talked to you earlier about adding the option to change the text color. You replied to me “Okay, I will see what I can do. The problem is that every theme is a world apart, but I will try anyway”.

    I replied that it wasn’t necessary for you to do that because it was possible to change the colors in the WP properties – but, that was not true so, I just wanted to let you know I was incorrect and that the color change option would still be a good thing!

    Sorry for the confusion.

    Sorry Aldo, I’m developing offline.

    Guess I have to apologize again(!). I had a text module above the archive where I changed the text color – not the plugin. It would be nice to be able to select a primary web color for the plugin – sorry <again>.

    Aldo, sorry, I am mistaken about the colors. I was thinking of another archive plugin. The color selection is already there with the WordPress properties so this is not necessary.

    New revision is perfect!

    I think the basic web colors (black, white, red, blue, etc.) would be enough options for a user.

    Question: I was going to write some code to add a dropdown but, since you are obviously the expert on your own code, I’ll mention it. The feature would be to have archive by year. Selecting the year will dropdown list of months. Selecting a month would dropdown list of posts in that month.

    I think this might be a lot of work for you but you ask for suggestions! I think this would eliminate your competition completely!

    I’m OK with CSS. WordPress is very good for beginners so I see a lot of them having difficulty using CSS. I just thought you might have more users if you made it easy for the beginners to change the basic appearance without having to use CSS. Your plugin is very, very easy to use already for them and you are making it easier with each revision!

    By the way, I just made a donation. I wish I could afford more but I’m retired on a fixed income so it’s the best I can do at the moment. Keep up the good work!

    That would be fantastic! If you are going to make a change, you might think about being able to select color too. Only having black doesn’t work on dark backgrounds.

    I think you would then have the perfect plugin!

    That’s exactly what I needed – Works perfectly! THANK YOU!

    Just to pass this along in case some others need it – makes all white text – place in theme customizer additional CSS:

    .sya_container a, .sya_container .sya_yearslist, .sya_container .sya_yearslist a, .sya_date {
    color: #fff;
    }

    We started with the defaults which puts it in the lower right corner which doesn’t look good on the desktop. It moves progressively to the right as we move through tablets to smartphones. It would be great to just have a left/right/center feature instead of pixel offsets. Since then we’ve purchased the Pro version and the Conversation Forms Pro version because we think it’s a great program.
