    Also, as I mentioned in the above response, I will also add a simple “extend expiration 1 period” option so that it’s quicker to simply extend the expiration rather than having to set a date.

    Unfortunately this does not apply as I do not need to extend the membership.

    Each product will have a non-renewable membership, that is, the one who bought access to see a play, will have a time to see it, after that time the membership expires forever, it is to prevent the same user from giving access to others people who do not pay (that happens very often).

    Therefore, the option to extend I will never use it, in this case.

    As I need, it should work like this:

    1. A person buys a ticket on Monday for one (of so many) play. Let’s call it “Play 1”.
    2. I create a user for him or her, if he or she does not have one yet. Let’s call it “User 1”
    3. I grant “User 1” access to “Play 1” for 2 days, that is, Monday and Tuesday.
    4. After these 2 days (Wednesday) access to “Play 1” for “User 1” must expire.
    5. On Tuesday, “User 1” buys another ticket. This time for “Play 2”.
    6. I grant “User 1” access to “Play 2” for 2 days, ie Tuesday and Wednesday.
    7. At the same time, another user, let’s call him “User 2”, buys a ticket for “Play 1”, and also he should have access for 2 days to see “Play 1”.

    Maybe it will help you for your next update. Or for some premium version.

    I only recommend giving advance notice of the possibilities, before it is too late for the user. It would also be good to enable collaborative documentation so that people like me can contribute translations. I speak Spanish, and we are not few in the world who speak Spanish.

If they insulted you, it is probably that they felt you were attacking me – they don’t like to see low rating reviews any more than I do. Don’t take it personally.

    Actually, my review will not affect anything against the other 80,000, therefore the insult was unnecessary.

    Everyone has the right to express their disagreement. Although, clearly, I am nothing compared to 80,000 happy users.

    Often times, small details that are difficult to notice are the key to greater success.

    My problem is still unsolvable, but here you can get new ideas for the future, of course if that interests you.

    Unfortunately, at this time, fixed period expiration is only for a full year, for example Sept 1 – Aug 31, or Jan 1 – Dec 31. So the time period you have is invalid.

    Sometimes I get confused with the directions in English, I know that you cannot master all the languages, but sometimes misunderstandings occur.

    I overlooked that it is for a year.

    When you look at a user’s profile and scroll to the bottom, you’ll see a tab of memberships that are available. If you need to extend a user’s access, select “Enable” from the dropdown and enter the date you’re setting for their expiration. (It’s best to use the datepicker for setting the date rather than typing it so that you get the proper date format.) Similarly, if you’re removing their access, select “Disable”.

    It is exactly what I did, before going into a state of despair and frustration.

    The first thing I tried was to mark the option “Expires” with no expiration period in the Membership configuration (in each product) and then manually set an expiration date for a user, for each product they should have access to.

    This is what worked when I was testing, but then when I set up the “real” users, that is, the ones who had paid, and to whom I already have an obligation, it didn’t work. I had to give them access without expiration and activate / deactivate manually. This at the beginning is not so serious, because there are few to start, but later, when there are hundreds of users, it will be terrible.

    Since you’re handling a manual process, adding access would be similar to setting it in the first place. As I noted above, in the user’s profile, just select the date and enable, and update the user’s access.

    I would like to live in “Theory”, everything seems to work there.

    I have tried everything.

    Now I am back to point 0.

    All users managed manually.

    And the worst thing is seeing that I am the only person with this problem.

    I did not mean to be insulted when I gave my review, that honestly in the midst of so much frustration, seeing the constant requests for review, led me to respond based on my experience.     Most of the time, when someone says “it stopped working,” there was a change made or another plugin installed that affects your environment. So you need to determine whether any changes were made at that time and if so, what were they?

    In what way does it no longer work? Are users not able to log in? Or they are not expiring?

    What does not work is the expiration on each user, for example, a user registers today and should have access for 2 days, or 1 week.

    At first I thought it worked but after two days it stopped working. New users could no longer access content with the 2-day membership.

    So I create memberships for a fixed time, for example, from September 10 to 13. The day you created the membership, this worked, but the next day, without you making any changes, users lost access to your content.

    The only way that works is without expiration.

    Do have you have moderated registration or the registration verification feature enabled? If so, is this something you enabled after you had existing users on the site (in which case you need to adjust the current users for the change since they wouldn’t be automatically activated).

    At this time, users cannot register by themselves, because the payment is not by credit card, therefore, we only create the user once the cash payment was made.

    What we did is create a solution to the pandemic situation, for which the actors were left without work because the theaters are closed. Many of the cast are emerging and sell tickets to their friends, and many of them do not have a credit card, therefore paying in cash is the best option.

    We enter there, providing access to the work in streaming, to those users who have made a cash payment. This is why the procedure is largely manual.

    What we need is a valid access for a couple of days for each user. After those two days, the ideal would be that the access expires automatically.

    The next problem is that the same user can then buy new access for another work, in that case, he should have access again for two days.

    As each user has the option to set an expiration date for each membership, I thought that would be the solution, but apparently it is not.

    What does not work is the membership expiration.

    I looked for a solution in Documentation > Membership Products > Membership Properties > Expires without success. The solution is not there. Then I looked for some support, and found that you have to pay for support. Then I understood what happens. You install the plugin, it doesn’t work, so you have to pay for it to work.

    The strange thing is that it worked for 2 days, I was happy, I already granted permissions to users, and when they were going to use it, it stopped working. The expiration option no longer works. Which is a serious problem. Now, I have to activate and deactivate memberships manually. Imagine!!!

    I made sure to follow the prompts, but obviously something I’m doing wrong and it’s not specified in the documentation.

    What bothers me, is not even that you have to pay, it bothers me that it is offered as free and that since it does not work, that is, when the damage of changing the application could be worse, I am obliged to pay for something that initially it was free.

    And, not in my language. So, double work for me, to find where to express the problem, being that there is no support section.

    Instead, what was at hand, was the request to review the plugin, and that’s what I did.

    I’m so sorry that it’s not the right place.
