The easiest way for you would be to use some gallery based on custom posts. Unfortunately I will not be able to help you :/

(BP-Gallery) has it’s own gallery ID’s and nests under the “Members” post which has it’s own post ID.

I’m afraid I will not be able to add this option. In the next version of the plugin, all the information about the number of likes will be moved to the custom field in post/articles.
