I’m getting the same thing here, with 1.0b2.

Trying to figure this out too. The #2959 bug track indicates that the included patch fixes the problem, but the code seems to be no different from 2.1.2. I can’t figure out what I’d need to change to solve this – can anybody help?

Yep that’s fixed it for me too! I’d never have figured this out myself without going through all the plugins individually, thanks so much!

Incidentally I’m also running wp-cache and the popularity contest plugin, but I did try disabling wp-cache and it made no difference, so I’m not quite sure where the problem lies. Still, it’s all solved now. Phew ??

Just for people with a similar problem, this turned out to be a plugin issue. The plugin needed external data which wasn’t there on the first attempt, but it then cached new information so the refresh worked.
