I guess this is because Timeline Express is displaying the “excerpt” of the post in the timeline, and that excerpt is stripped of any tags.

I would also like to know how to enable tags in a timeline announcement.

“event” and “drink” being names on custom fields (hidden or visible) already added to my form.

Upload works when I hard coded the URL.

I also had to modify cssjs.php in order to enqueue the css and javascript files.

Okay, I managed to get the Document option showing in the group menu but uploading files doesn’t work.

The form’s action path (set by $template->action_link) is incorrect.

$template->action_link is defined here

$this->action_link = get_bloginfo('url') . '/' . $bp->current_component . '/' . $bp->current_item . '/' . $bp->current_action . '/';

…and “$bp->current_component” is incorrect. It says “groups” but I have changed the group slug like so:

That’s a dirty hard coded solution, though.

It should be replaced by something like

…in order tro fetch the translation properly. However, I tried this particular bit of code and it didn’t work.

Well, that depends on the site. I run a community with less then 10% of the traffic coming from search engines, and another site with medical information receiving more than 90% of its traffic from Google.

In addition, caching a few pages should be better than caching none of them.

Thanks but finding out whether a plugin is free or not is fairly easy, don’t you think.

Finding one that fit your needs is more difficult. I’ve searched all over for a plugin but have not been able to find a free version similar to those mentioned above, hence my initial question.

A rather useless comment esmi. That’s obviously the first thing you do when looking for a plugin.

If there’s no “special characters safe” version of substr, you probably have to decode it, cut it, and then encode it again. Like so:
