Hi
You mentioned:
Regarding the WooCommerce Price Based on Country plugin; our plugin doesn’t convert currencies either on the checkout page or in the reminder emails. What it will instead do is display the exact same currency that the cart was abandoned in the reminder email. So this means that if the cart was abandoned in EUR, the currency in the reminder email will also be in EUR.
The cart items are always in AUD, but I definately don’t think they are from Australia.
Therefore I think it seems to possibly convert the currency from another country into Australia currency in your plugin…
But if I cannot login to the backend because of the constant 503 error, HOW then can I edit and fix this issue ?
Can I edit a file via File Manager and what am I editing and where ?
Please advise urgently as I have 3 client sites down with that same issue ..
As I keep getting this , I cannot login to the backend either!
Service Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
Additionally, a 503 Service Unavailable error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Thanks
They are only new clients with Wordfence on this new server only.
Hi
These client sites were moved to a new server 5 weeks ago.
Wordfence was only installed on these client sites a week after being on the new server. Wordfence was never installed on these clients sites before the move to the new server.
I will try your settings you have suggested and I will let you know.
Thanks
Otherwise I’m going to have to uninstall Wordfence which I would prefer NOT to do , unless we can rectify the issue.
Thanks in advance!
Now I’m getting Resource Limit Reached .. but I have no limit ..
503 errors
Here is another error log from another site with Wordfence

This error could be causing the many 503 errors and very slow websites when I have Wordfence activated recently. Something is not right.
Using PHP 7.4
Thanks
It gets a bit nerve racking when you see at least 30 attempts that get blocked by the system with the red dot, and trying to access wp-login.php from different countries.
Therefore I’m putting them in Permanent IP block to reduce it.
That is not normal is it ?
I have other client sites that don’t have attacks or attempts like this …
Hi
YOu mentioned:
You can find the option by navigating to WooCommerce >> Abandoned Carts >> Settings >> General >> Cart Settings >> Start tracking from Cart Page. Please note that this option is only available in the pro version.
We don’t have the Pro version therefore I can’t see it. Therefore what is it currently tracking as I cannot use that setting?
What little software can I use to show you a screenshot?
Thanks
HI
Where is this setting please as I cannot seem to find it?
Can you confirm if you have the “Start tracking from Cart Page” option enabled?
Also as we are using the plugin WooCommerce Price Based on Country we notice any items added to the cart are showing AUD$ .. Does it default and CONVERT the pricing from the other country and default to AUD$ in the Abandoned cart?
Could you confirm please?
I have installed the Black bot plugin so we will see if it makes a difference.
Please advise about the contents of info displayed in your plugin … Some of the pricing are NOT showing correctly as per the product real pricing. HOW could that occur ?
Thanks
Also with regards to the robots.txt file I can’t see that in the root directory of website. I figured out its a virtual file.
domainname.com.au/robots.txt
I see it already puts those 2 lines of code in automatically.
Is that all I need to do ?
Also for some reason when I block an IP address it says in “BLOCKING”
Ruled added July 15, 2024 4:13 am
Expiration of block: July 15, 2024 4:18 am
Therefore it is ONLY blocking the IP for 5 minutes ? That is very strange, as I have blocking set for 4 hours.
HOW and WHERE can I check this when I block an IP I would like it PERMANENTLY blocked I would prefer ..
Thanks
I would like any failed login for admin to be BLOCKED PERMANENTLY and their IP address.
Hi
Just another question regarding this
Lock out after how many login failures
This will lock out an IP address for a specified amount of time if that visitor generates the specified number of login failures. Note that it is common for real users to forget their passwords and generate up to 5 or more login attempts while trying to remember their username and/or password. So we recommend you set this to 20 which gives real users plenty of opportunities to login, but will block a brute force login attack after 20 attempts.
As there are NO customers needing to login at all to the website, it is just an informational website.
Can I set this: Lock out after how many login failures to 2 or 5?
Lock out after how many forgot password attempts to 2 or 5 ?
Amount of time a user is locked out is set to 4 hours … What should it be ?
As no-one needs access apart from me as Admin …
I see many attempts from dodgy people trying to login to (domainname.com.au/xmlprc.php AND domainname.com.au/wp-login.php
They are being automatically blocked for 4 hours .. but I want them automatically blocked PERMANENTLY ..
Currently I’m manually viewing LIVE FEED, and finding the ones with the red Auto block attempt, then BLOCKING that IP .. but it ONLY blocks it for 4 hours …
Then I go into the “BLOCKING” section, an BLOCK Permanently ..
I want to avoid having to keep doing this manually .. System should be able to block it permanently AUTOMATICALLY I would have thought, but maybe another setting I am not aware of?
I’m assuming they will eventually die off.
I am a bit confused with this section https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/rate-limiting/
If you could advise the best strategy would be great. Thank you
