In reply to: How to link my wordpress blog and my google drive documentsHi @iamcreasey,
I do understand you would be wary of giving access to your Google Drive or blog. The good news is that the one above was created by AutoMattic, the parent company of WordPress, WooCommerce etc. Hope that reassures you.
I have not seen the pop up you saw before but I seems quite likely that as this add on was created by AutoMattic, using this add on would have been the next step.

In reply to: Copy Multiple Images In The Page EditorHello,
Would it be possible for you to confirm exactly which screen you used to be able to do this on (my apologies for not understanding!).
I have not needed to use this functionality before but would like to test it out on my install.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Audio shortcode does not show audio player on my siteHello,
Please could you confirm if you are still having this issue? I have visited the URL given above in Chrome and the player is rendering for me. Please do let me know if this still isn’t showing for you.

In reply to: How to link my wordpress blog and my google drive documentsHello,
I haven’t used this one myself but AutoMattic has created a free add-on for Google Drive called WordPress.com for Google Docs, which can be added to any WordPress.com or Jetpack powered www.remarpro.com site. This allows you to send a draft over but does not allow you to publish to your site directly from the add-on. Much nicer than copying and pasting though!
The add-on can be found here.
The help section for the add-on can be found here.

In reply to: Editing user roles on a mobile deviceHi @cumtree,
I have just tested this on my iPhone 6 using Safari and was able to edit the user permission (using WordPress 4.8, I can see your on 4.2.1). Here are the steps I followed:
– Click the menu pop out in the top left of the screen and scroll down to ‘Users’ and click it.
– Once this screen has loaded you should see all of your users listed.
– Select the user you would like to edit by clicking the tick box next to the users name.
– Scroll down the page to a ‘Change users role to…’ box. Click this and select the new role and click ‘Change’.
Do you have these options on your admin panel?

In reply to: Lightswitch plugins?Hi @catmaniax,
I’ve been searching for an equivalent plugin and agree with you, there does not seem to be a free option. Seems the only option is the paid version you have found.
Sorry not to be able to help more.

In reply to: Undo function has disappearedPlease could you confirm if you have one or two rows of formatting tools?
If you only have one row at the moment (featuring Bold, Italic, proof read etc) it could be that the toolbar needs to be toggled. The button to do this is on the far right of the first row (a YouTube video on how to do this can be found here.

In reply to: Margins around Logo Change for every page on my siteHi @prayforsurf0,
I’ve just been looking at your site and get a the same result for the logo on all pages (after the home page) in Chrome and Safari on Mac. What browser are you using when testing your page?
To rule out any plugin issue disabling all plugins and testing again would be the best place to start. If the issue goes away you can add them in one by one. Do you use the Autoptimize plugin? It is possible this is having an impact so deactivating that plugin may be a good place to start.

In reply to: Password protected page forbidden on safariHi @npmarie,
I am getting a 403 on each browser I test it on and am not able to log in anywhere. The developer console in Chrome and Safari isn’t giving me too much more information.
There is a good list of trouble shooting options found on an external site that I would recommend working through (you’ve done step 1 already by testing with no plugins).

In reply to: Editing bug in chrome on windows 10Hi @mskogly
I had a similar issue when using the html view in Chrome on Windows 10. The issue went away after running all updates to my plugins.
On a previous issue I did find that some of my Chrome extensions caused issues with the editor (Grammarly was the culprit that time) so that may be worth exploring.

In reply to: not saving changesHi @maya61,
Sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing. I’ve been searching the forums and found some similar problems to yours and the following fixes were suggested.
1) One of the first things to try would be deactivating all plugins (take a backup of your site first) temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate them one-by-one to find the problematic plugin(s).
2) Clear your browser cache to rule out any issue there (see this site for browser specific steps)
3) If the problem does not go away when you have deactivated plugins then switch to the default WordPress theme (currently this is Twenty Seventeen) to see if this resolves the issue.
