In reply to: How do I remove code line 222?Nothing to worry now. You may now put it up, if you like for a site review at the appropriate place in the forum.
As I said, there were warnings because your site had outdated software, and some indications of malware. But the reports were conflicting. No fun in repeating them here. You are quite secure now, though there are many ways to tighten security.

In reply to: How do I remove code line 222?Your site is quite OK now. Earlier it had some security warnings too. That is why I asked you to update a few things. I did not write here because I did not want to scare you.
You are welcome with your questions.

In reply to: How do I remove code line 222?First of all, congrats, because you found it. I have found that many people do not have the patience to do such work. So, I appreciate you.
Most of the validation errors are from the original theme, I think. Anyway, it is not a nice idea to change the theme’s original files, as they will be lost when they update the theme.
I have checked many sites, and most of them have some problem or the other. Though, it is advisable to have a clean validation, it is nothing to worry much about unless there are too many errors and WARNINGS.
I think your site is OK. I will recheck one or two aspects. Come back after a few minutes. If your problem is solved, mark the post as resolved after a few minutes.

In reply to: How do I remove code line 222?Generally, theme developers also update their themes to function well with the latest version of WP. So, it is not a bad idea to reinstall it. If that does not make any change, the next step is to check your own child theme. Pl do that, after that I will tell you where it can be. It takes a little time.

In reply to: How do I remove code line 222?Generally this type of orphan characters are difficult to locate. There are two similar cases reported in the last few days. I will locate and post them here.
Now tell me, did you change the original theme, or did you create a child theme of it?

In reply to: I lost my posts and comments after WordPress transferPossibly a java script file is infected and causing problems. It seems to be a stats counter file. Try to remove this file:
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://stats.hosting24.com/count.php"></script>

In reply to: How do I remove code line 222?–> appears on the page as it was typed in some of your theme files out side tags. It could have come their while editing the theme files, or because of old corrupt files.
You run an old version of WordPress. You need to update it. Other wise, you can face other problems while trying to remove the said characters.
So, update WP first.
