  • Hi Jess,

I can’t contact Gravity Forms about the issue because of the following:

“Like most other WordPress plugins, Gravity Forms does not handle emails directly. Gravity Forms uses the wp_mail() function that is provided by WordPress to send any emails.

After WordPress hands the email off, it’s up to the mail server, as well as the recipient’s mail server, to complete the sending of the email. We don’t have any control over the delivery process once the email is passed to WordPress.

Note: WordPress allows filtering of emails sent using wp_mail() function, this means third-party plugins or custom functions can alter any aspect of the email after Gravity Forms passes it to WordPress.”

So with that said, I still don’t know what to try next.

    Hi,

I am having similar issues. We are using Gravity Forms and have multiple different forms. In most cases, everyone is receiving their emails properly. But recently we’ve had at least 4 known cases where when a user submits a form, none of the admins are receiving the notification. The “send to” option for each form is set to “configure routing” and has the proper configuration set up (we know it is right because most of the time everyone is getting the emails). This doesn’t happen every time, but it does happen with at least 2 different forms so far. What are my options here?

The issue with the website is that when it was built, the developer never installed the child theme, so this website hasn’t been able to be updated in a very long time. We have been dealing with issues one step at a time. Currently, this is the only issue. WordPress is up to date. We cannot update the theme without losing all of the design changes made to the website over the years. I have suggested to the client that they allow us to install a Child theme and start transferring over the settings to the Child theme so that we can update the parent and then update all the other plugins, but they haven’t agreed to this yet.

So we can’t update Gravity Forms, the theme, or other plugins. It is just weird that only sometimes the admin notifications aren’t sending.

    What can we try next?
