I’ve just had another look at the php.ini file and I was surprised to see the following ;

max_input_vars = 3000

But as you say the Report shows PHP Max Input Vars: 2000 which is puzzling for me. I’m not WordPress guy I’m afraid so not sure where to look for why it would be sitting at 2000, thoughts appreciated ?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I must say you are right in mentioning those outdated items. To be open I have just been too afraid of updating them as when I have done so on other sites in the past something invariably goes wrong. ??

What if it is just actual duplicate products in the database as is the case with me?

It doesn’t just have to be a Plugin issue.

Further to this ;

I have looked at the wp_posts table, and even images that are listed there, all pointing to the correct path, and with the images physically there, are not showing in the media library.

In one instance 2015/10 is showing 10 images in the media library, 38 entries in the table, and 38 images in the folder.

In Woocommerce admin I guess you would say. Signed in as Admin, select Products and at the top right of the list of all the products. So it is just within the core of woocommerce itself.

I did try pulling all the plugins out and it made no difference.

Thanks for taking the time to look into this further. Currently I’m doing a database rollback and haven;t been able to get on.

Well that’s not very logical, in my mind at least. As I see it, if there are 2 products, say a short sleeve shirt and a long sleeve shirt, each with a different product number, then as I would see it, there are two products. The fact one might be available in three different colours is irrelevant because they are all the same product number.
Unless of course each colour had its own variation of the product number, for example ABC-001 ABC-002 and so on. Then they would be different products entered into the system for stock control purposes anyway.

I would be interested in your view on this.

Good question, they are all Variable.

That said, what is variable at this moment are the sizes and colours, no pricing as yet. I guess that is a fair consideration, though I would hope that when it says number of products, it actually would be calculating the actual products and not be including all the variances ?

I could experiment I guess by adding a new Variable product without an extras, and then add one with, and see what it does to the numbers. I might try that. Will let you know.
