In reply to: Dashboard problems in 3.5Yes, I’ve already gone through all of that: I am not running any caching plugins. All plugins are deactivated. I have switched themes. I have enabled Twenty Eleven. And my upgrade was manual. Everything in that list is covered. Plus, the Javascript console comes up empty. So I’m really hoping that somebody here might have another suggestion…
Same problem: the file /twitter-mentions-as-comment/includes/tlc-transients/tlc-transients.php is missing from the plugin.

In reply to: Timezone support unchanged in 2.8?I’ve forced an update to PHP5.2 (which for whatever reason the panel claimed was already running, but wasn’t), and now all seems well. Thanks again for the links – a big help!

In reply to: Timezone support unchanged in 2.8?Ugh, that was a complete lie. My control panel claims I’m running 5.2, but phpinfo indicates it’s 4.4.9! My bad.

In reply to: Timezone support unchanged in 2.8?Thanks for the link. Unfortunately they seem to have closed that ticket without a fix. (Also, I’m running PHP 5.2, so I’d think I’d be fine.) I’ll keep an eye out, though…

In reply to: wp-manager.php?According to my hosting provider, this file is not an artifact of the one-click install. It’s some kind of file manager, but I can’t tell what it does, or where it came from. And given that my site had recently been hacked, I’m wondering if this is a malicious bit of code someone managed to write to my server. I’ve deleted it, re-installed WP, cleaned up all my theme files, and changed my passwords, but I’m still curious whether anyone knows anything about this…

In reply to: conditional format on front page for posts in a particular categoryOh, exactly! That looks exactly like what I’m after. I’ll poke at it and see if I can make this work. Thanks so much for the quick, helpful response!

In reply to: permissions problem after moveReally? That makes sense for uploads, but for themes, too? Everything was working perfectly in the testing subdomain with those folders set to 755…
I’ll change those permissions, certainly. And I’ve got plenty of workarounds (I do most of my editing locally anyhow). I’m mostly just curious why everything was fine in one installation and wonky after moving.
