We have the same problem with InfiniteWP.

When infiniteWP wants to scan a site for updates it does a

POST /wp-load.php?no_cache_<randomstring>

which complianz immediately hijacks and turns into

GET /wp-admin/admin.php?page=complianz&websitescan

after which it is required to log onto each affected site, load the dashboard, click the X, THEN Complianz no longer breaks connection to InfiniteWP. this works for a day or two and then a new load of connections is broken a day later

Thanks for the reply, I’ve tried your steps on a staging site but could unfortunately not reproduce the cached error page, I assume it was a one-time glitch. The plugin does not seem to cache the error page when I’m trying to make it do so.

The only two thing in these emails are:

1. Summary of automated backups (none of them, becasue that’s a premium feature)
2. Upsell link to buy PRO

“The summary emails are not spam” – I disagree. The definition of spam is:

1. Unsollicited
2. Bulk e-mail
3. Of a commercial nature

I never asked (1)for the email with the upsell(2), and I get it on each and every site (in bulk)(3) – it is automativcally turned ON which is annoying at best.

This is why I see them as spam. Never asked for them, not one single use for free users besides upselling and now I have another plugin that requires even more steps to reduce spam, every time I setup a new site.

I am in agreement that this sort of email should be opt-in by default, especially since the only thing that’s displayed in the email is a premium-only feature (scheduled backups) with an upsell-link.

This email being sent
1) without prior request (opt-out instead of opt-in)
2) in bulk, (to each site’s admin email)
3) and with a commercial nature (a summary that’s useless to free users and an upsell link beneath it)
means these mails score 3/3 fo being SPAM.

If this option is turned off by default I will be editing my low-score review (even if the annoying advertisement for the seedprod plugin is still there on the dash).

According to this support topic
the main issue (the logged in menu breaking after the update) is something that NOW REQUIRES the pro version.
Since the verion where this did still work has security issues, I am now forced to go find a different solution.

Hiya, sorry for butting in, but I’ve started having this specific issue after 7.0.

The output of the variable seems to work fine on the Results page on the website, but admin-emails ignore what I’ve set in the %QUESTIONS_ANSWERS% field on the TEXT-tab on the options page for a quiz, and display the default instead:

Answer Provided: No
Correct Answer: NA
Comments Entered: NA

I hope that clarifies the issue.

One important thing about my website you may have missed; WP_DEBUG is on. If I turn it off, the notices disappear.

What do you mean by ‘how am I adding it to my site’?
I’ve ‘added’ it to the site by downloading it from the WordPress Repo, accessed though the admin dashboard.
I’m ‘adding’ it to the page by echo’ing the shortcode in my cpt’s content-template (_s/template-parts/content-cpt.php)

I’m using a custom template with SCSS and Bootstrap based on Underscores_, so yes, I’ve heavily modified those theme-files.
No core files were touched though.

I’ve tried loading the page with the news ticker on it with all other plugins loaded and with no other plugins loaded, in both cases the notices appear, reloading the page with just the news ticker plugin turned off and everything else on does not generate messages. Are there any specific plugins you think may be conflicting?

I could not find a ‘clear cache’ option in the plugin;s own settings, so I emptied the cach of Chrome (empty cache + hard reload),
Then I deactivated and reactivated the plugin, and deleted and re-installed it, but that unfortunately didn’t help.

Twitter profile pics (from twimg.com) are still being loaded over http (even though I’ve hid profile pics in the settnigs anyway).

Am I supid, did I miss something?
