I wish I’d come here before trying to fix it myself – I thought I’d messed something up whilst building the new site ??

In reply to: [OSM - OpenStreetMap] Marker don't show up in Widget or PostThank you Mitja – that solved my problem ??
Another question – can this plugin take geotagged data from a photograph automatically, without having to copy and paste the code?
Hi Ray, I have the same problem – thought I’d add my weight to the post. On my home page the icons are ok, and also on the individual post pages, but in the post list pages they look exactly like yours. I contacted the theme creator, kriesi, and they’ve said the plugin is using the ‘genericons font icon, but there is no proper link to the icon fonts, and that I should contact the developer of the plugin (WordPress I guess).

In reply to: Hacked? Thanks for the reply guys – it’s version 3.0, just updated to 3.01 after I’d seen the issue and it *seems* to have gone for now. I’ll have a look at the IP logs – not sure what I can do if I find an IP address other than mine though?
As far as I know I have no other web apps that might be allowing another way in. I use CoreFTP Lite and SiteVault to back up my site. I have to admit I do wonder how trustworthy some of this s/w is though. I love SiteVault but it would be great if someone could make a piece of software like it specifically for WP.
I’ll have a look at those articles as well songdogtech – I think I’v read the first, but the last one is something I really need to make the time to sit down and read through.
Jason…Newtek as in LightWave Newtek?

In reply to: Info. Re: Possible Exploit or Vulnerability?I host with mediatemple and have also been hit – three of the blogs I host there have been hit, having the JohnnyA user added. I’m busy backing up the compromised sites using FTP software, and have backed the databases up already. I use SiteVault to make regular backups, but have never used it to restore a site and I’m *very* wary of using it. I liked the look of it as it backs up the FTP files and the database in one handy spot at the same time.
Speaking to the MT guy this morning he pointed me to a page suggesting a total clean reinstall – ouch :/
My sites are on 2.9.2 – I didn’t fancy going to a first x.0 release.

In reply to: Can’t log in to DatabaseGah!! I knew it <holds head in shame> :/
I’d transferred servers and they gave me a username and password (as moshu rightly pointed out) I can’t change which is some random bunch of letters and numbers – of course I forgot this also affected my blog!
Live and learn eh? Good job I don’t do this for a living ??
Thanks guys – much appreciated ??

In reply to: Can’t log in to DatabaseNope. When I type in my username (kopperdrake) and email (which can be only one of 2 that I have) it just says “Sorry, that user does not seem to exist in our database. Perhaps you have the wrong username or e-mail address?”
Is there any way I can retrieve this information in case I’ve just been *really* stupid and used something more obscure than I normally do?
