The parent category is “Releases” and the pages beneath “Releases” are what I am trying to put into numerical order, ordering them according to their release dates, not alphabetically as they are appearing now.

Thanks for the response, but you linked the theme directory… well, first of all, I already know about that. But secondly (and more importantly), I am looking for some themes that would either be designed specifically for this purpose, or could easily be used FOR this purpose. In other words, I’m not looking for a general directory of themes. That I can find on my own. But I AM looking for one or more that could have been designed specifically with a RECORD LABEL in mind.

OK, I dig some digging online and found out that the category feed URLs have changed (and obviously the old ones do not work any longer), so if anyone else has this same issue, here’s what you need to do.

You can also provide feeds to only specific categories on your site by adding the following to the end of the link:

https://example.com/wp-rss2.php?cat=42
or
https://example.com/category/categoryname/feed

The built-in (main) RSS feed for the blog is the only one that appears to be working:

I really need for my separate category feeds to be working, though, as this is how we built our podcast on WordPress over two years ago. There is obviously a bug in this latest version that has broken the category feeds…

It took quite a big of digging, but I was able to find a previous topic on this same problem. Here’s what you do to fix it:

First, create the Page without the Custom Field, then after you Publish the Page, go back and edit the Page, and add the Custom field(s).

Works!

Just tried this again after switching themes. Still does not work.

In the WP backend (2.2.1) I went to Write > Write Page > entered page title > selected “redirect” in Custom Fields > entered target URL for Value > clicked “Add Custom Field” > clicked “Publish”…

After that, it takes me to Page Management, and the page I just created is not listed there! I have to click on the “Manage” tab and there it is, listed as a Draft I created… and when I open that Draft, it’s showing as a draft post, not even a draft PAGE.

So yeah, I’m still having the same problem with this plugin. Can anyone help me fix this? Has this happened to anyone else? I’m hoping there might be another redirect plugin I can try instead.

Figured it out, thanks for your help. Unfortunately, this didn’t work with the Blip cross-post function. I guess with Blip, you either have the capability to publish a post, or you don’t. There’s no way a post can be created as a draft for any user, nor are there any special roles that allow users the ability to publish a post *for moderation* by an admin or editor. Publishing a post means the post goes live right then and there. Crap.

Are there any instructions on installing this one? I just want to make sure I put all of the files in the right place. Do I just upload the entire folder to my plugins directory?

Yeah, I realize that Contributors can submit posts to moderation, however the Blip.tv cross-post feature won’t allow posting by Contributors (you get an error message). So I have to have the user roles set to Author, but then they’re not moderated.

I wasn’t aware of a “Role Manager” plugin, but I’ll see if I can find it. Do you have a link?
