  • Well, now that I think of it there actually is a widget (Appearance/Widgets)that would do what you want. It’s called “SportsPress Player list”. But then you would have to have a widget area in your theme to show it… AND a player list for each team… The latter is not a very big deal, though. Quite a fast process.

Your best bet right now would probably be to wish for an implementation of this. Perhaps with a shortcode… At least I think it is a pretty good idea. ??
Btw, Have you checked all shortcodes? It might already be there.

1: You are not alone on having both performance and stats in the same table. If that gives you any comfort. ?? Can’t help you though…

2: Make a player list (Players/Player lists) and put the shortcode (something like [player_list XXX]) in the Profile field on the team page. Remember to check the statistics check box and all the checkboxes in each column on the player list page.

3: Not sure if it will work but try this: Make a player list (one for each scorer, rebounder…), and sort them by the variable for top scorer, top assists and so on. Use the shortcodes for each list and put them on a page. Now that I think of it, it might not be such a good idea. It will show you top players on top of the list. But, you will get all the other players in the list as well…

You are welcome! And a great job with this plugin back at you!

I have done extensive testing and at this point I have a big list of suggestions, questions and minor, what I think, errors. Right now it covers almost a whole handwritten A4 page. How would you like it delivered? Should I write everything in one post or should I try to divide it to several posts? Or would you like to have it in your inbox? If so, please provide med with an email address.

BTW, thanks for the variables. Although I already got them by installing SportsPress in another WordPress installation. ?? Some data were lost though. Probably used custom variables or something… Anyhow, no big deal. It was only four games.

PS In the new installation, the variable for yellow cards is spelled “yellospards”! Something to look into? DS

    Hi!

OK, then I appologize for the, slight, overly dramatic subject of this matter!

But, this, in my eyes, could be a problem. Some kind of warning before deletion would probably be good to add.
I still have not got all performance data back in the tables (In events, not overwritten). I guess I messed up the variables when I reentered them…

Well, now it is confirmed. Data disappears!
I added a couple of goals to a couple of players in one event, went to Settings/Configure and deleted the row for Goals under Player Performance. Saved and took a look at the event page. No goals there, off course. ?? went back to settings and added the variable for goals back. Updated the event page. The goals column was back but all zeros…

Also, I haven’t tried to replicate this yet. I just wanted to pass the info on, before anyone else does the same thing.

Sorry, should have thought of that… It’s the 3.5 version. And the 2.8 version of Enable Media Replace.

Congrats! Seems like you are on your way.
    What solved your problem?

Well, seems like it has kicked in over here (Sweden). Still getting a blank page though. Good luck!

Further research reveals that the source of the problem lies at the source of the external rss flow. Nothing wrong with wp fetch-feed.

I didn’t catch it cause I was using Firefox to view the feed and it was able to get the links right, even though they were in fact missing the // in the url. Switching to IE found the culprit.

rubyfruitradio: How is WP installed on your server? In a sub folder? Cause rubyfruitradio.com/wp-admin/index.php gives a 404. To my knowledge a “normal” installation of wp would put the wp-admin folder in the root…

Anyhow, I think that when I got the blank page I messed up a function or something. The debug message gave me enough info to correct it.

I have not tried to change theme directly in the database myself, but others have. ?? Try this on your own risk… https://designgala.com/how-to-change-wordpress-theme-directly-from-database/
I would try the debug=true first though. Many things can go wrong if you mess your database up!

Well, you will have to download, edit and upload the file named wp-config.php. So yes, ftp is a must. If you know the IP address to your ftp server you could probably use that instead of https://ftp.yoursite.com. Same goes for your web page. Unless you changed IP as well…

I just had look at the html source of my wordpress generated page and saw that the link to the external rss post is wrong. It omits the // after http:.

    <span class="datum-news">2012-09-27</span>
          <h4>Information om driftst?rningar p? webbplatsen</h4>
          <a href="http:www.vattenmyndigheterna.se/Sv/nyheter/2012/Pages/information-om-driftstorningar-pa-webbplatsen.aspx" title="">
<p>Kortare avbrott kan f?rekomma p? Vattenmyndigheternas webbplats under helgen den 28-30 september. </p>
          </a> <br>

But I don’t know if this is an error on my part or on the rss flow. If I had to guess I would say rss flow, though.

    Anyone with better knowledge?

PS If any of you guys know Swedish, you will see that the rss post above talks about problems with the server. This is not the source of my problem. My problem has been going on for a longer period… DS

A similar thing happened to me a while ago (blank page). I am not sure if this is the correct way to do it, but it worked for me.

I managed to get my site back by going into wp-config and changing “define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false);” to true. Once that’s done, reload your page and hopefully there will be an error message that will give you a hint on what might have gone wrong.

Remember that everyone visiting your page will also see the error message. And don’t forget to turn debugging back to false when you are done. ??

I just noticed that all private documents will come up in a search, if I’m logged in. If not logged in, only public documents show up. Does that perhaps give anyone an idea of what is wrong?
