In reply to: [Clone] WP-Clone doesn’t back upHi – it says it’s a “fat” database and wants me to purchase the premium subscription!

In reply to: Installing WP via ftp without cpanelThank you Malcolm.
When we first enquired with the host provider who is an independent supplier, we asked about a cpanel but didn’t get any reply; he then suggested he had installed WP along with a MySQL database.
Subsequent to that, we said we weren’t yet ready to install the WP database as we needed the old website up and running to extract the data that was already there, so he replaced it with the backed up database from the original files.
He did say he had installed a MySQL Database with the Dbname and IP address.
However I am totally unaware as to whether it’s still there and how I would access it.
I’ve looked at the youtube clips but I guess without the SQL details and how it works etc., I’m in the dark.
Best, K

In reply to: [Clone] WP Clone Images not restoredHi there
It’s the first time something like this happened to me too. I’ll attach an image showing that some photos were missing yet others were there.https://foxleyroadnurseries.katemjames.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/imagesmissing.jpg
It worked fine on the BND one-click clone install.
When I ran wp-clone I simply restored using the original zip link. I wonder if I need to copy the zip file into the directory which holds the new site instead? That’s what I’ve done previously.
Thanks!

In reply to: Images missing after importResolved now, I re-cloned the site using BND one click installer and it all went across easily.
Maybe wp-clone has had its day!
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Images missing after importI haven’t touched any .htaccess files; I simply wp-cloned this site: https://frn.katemjames.com/about-us/ (that page shows all the images) as a zip file
and then used wp-clone to restore this file onto the other site: https://foxleyroadnurseries.katemjames.com/about-us/
Both .htaccess files show the same permissions as 0644
Hello
I have this error too and don’t appear to have an /.htaccess file in my wp-includes folder. How can I create this?
I found that installing the gutenberg plug in some posts and pages can now be seen and edited but not all.
Thanks!
