In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Sucks – and no option to re-purchase labelsHi @womac911
Sorry to hear about your experience, we are actively working on adding support for purchasing additional labels on an order and should have a solution out soon.
Takes much longer to navigate than the good old tried-and-true “Woocommerce Shipping and Tax” plugin.
I am curious about this statement as WC Shipping allows you to purchase labels with just a single click based on previous label purchase history, where as with WooCommerce Shipping & Tax you had to go through verifying multiple sections with clicks to purchase a label. Would you mind describing what taking you longer? We really value feedback and would like to improve where we can.
Hopefully our dedication to support and listening to feedback and making accommodating changes will make you reconsider your review.
@tonymichalski Does this happen on every label you purchase? If so, next time this happens, can you please open the browser console, screenshot any errors you see in red, and provide that to us for further debugging?

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] OUNCES!Hi @snoopsbme,
Thanks for your feedback. Just so I understand correctly, you want the ability to either choose if the value you entered is oz or lbs?
At present the weight unit used is the one that your shop is set up with and that is used on your product pages. You can modify this by going to WooCommerce -> Settings -> Product and then changing the weight unit. Just note that changing the weight unit will affect your products so you will have to go and update the weight on every product after changing the weight unit. Hopefully this makes sense, we are trying to stay true to how the rest of your store is set up.
Also, the time to get me to switch isn’t when I’m in the throes of shipping. I thought I was dismissing yet another annoying banner and suddenly, poof! You’re shipping like this now, honey! And by poof, I mean spin, spin, spin the forever loading. Surprisingly slow!
Thanks for this feedback, we did try and make the messaging as clear as possible and requiring clicking an actionable button twice before the update happens. We will definitely evaluate how we can make this process even more clear.
Thanks!

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] DO NOT UPGRADE WOO “Shipping”Just so you know, the developers are part of the company.
As mentioned, you can use both old and new plugins together and live rates will continue working while getting the new label functionality from Woocommerce Shipping.
If you are not interested in the label functionality, which offers you heavily discounted USPS labels, you can then just uninstall Woocommerce Shipping and then just keep Woocommerce Shipping & Tax active.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] DO NOT UPGRADE WOO “Shipping”Hi, sorry to hear you feel this way. Woocommerce Shipping does not advertise USPS live rates. If you were a customer that used the live rates from Woocommerce Shipping & Tax, you would have gotten an email with details on how you can get live rates working with Woocommerce Shipping.
We have made live rates from Woocommerce Shipping & Tax work with Woocommerce Shipping, so just keep both plugins active to keep the live rates functionality working.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Unable to remove my name from Return AddressHi @abbiedoobie, just letting you know that we released 1.1.5 which contains a fix for this. As long as you have a company name entered in the origin address then that will be used instead of the name field.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Remove “tracking” section from Order Shipped emailsJust an update, we decided to rename the filter to
wcshipping_include_email_tracking_info
, and yes you just pass a true or false to it if you want to have it display or not.// Do not include WooCommerce Shipping tracking info in emails.
add_filter( 'wcshipping_include_email_tracking_info
', '__return_false' );We’ll work on documenting all available actions and filters in one of the upcoming releases, thanks for that suggestion.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Create New Label function missingHi @ctheory11,
We are still working through possible solutions to bring something like this back as an interim solution, while we work on a more solid once off label purchase flow.
A workaround for now is to manually create a new order in wp-admin and add the items to the order you want to ship and then purchase a label for that new order.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Remove “tracking” section from Order Shipped emailsHi @drjx
Unfortunately the context of the class in not done in a way that would enable you to override the action. We have just added a new filter
wcshipping_email_tracking_info
that any third party plugin can use from version 1.1.5 to override if the tracking info should show in the email. We are aiming to launch 1.1.5 this week.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] WAIT BEFORE “UPGRADING”! [REVISED]Hey @grangep
Just a heads up that we implemented some more improvements in the latest release, version 1.1.4.
Auto Address Validation: There is now a new and major improved auto address validation feature in WooCommerce Shipping. When creating a new label it will now automatically verify an address and mark it as verified, without the need for any user interaction. We are using brand new address validation and matching functionality in the background to achieve this and to ensure it is accurate. Only in rare cases where no matching address can be found will user interaction be needed.
Usability is worse: You can now purchase a label with just a single click, if you have purchased a label previously it automatically remembers all your last selections and fetched rates upon opening the label purchase modal, and you just need to verify the details and click purchase label.
Additional label purchases for an order: We are actively working on a solution for this so please keep an eye out in the next couple of releases.
Hopefully this shows our dedication to ensuring all our users are happy and have a great experience using the product and would make you reconsider a higher rating now.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] This is not an upgrade but a downgradeHi @jskarioki
Thanks for the review and sorry to hear you feel the experience is not on par with what you expected.
I wanted to let you know that we are actively listening to what our users want and implementing features based on that, hopefully this will make you reconsider this review from a 1 star to something higher.
For example, we just released version 1.1.4 that adds a new auto address validation feature when purchasing labels. We also fixed the issue with packages not migrating over, and added a way to remove saved packages in a previous release already.
As for creating additional shipping labels for orders, this is something we are currently actively working on so something should be available soon.
Thanks!

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Addresses no longer auto-validateHey @grangep and other folks following along on this thread.
We just released version 1.1.4 of WooCommerce Shipping that has a new auto validation feature when you purchase a label.
Now when you open the label purchase modal it will automatically kick off a process to try and auto validate the customer entered address and mark it as verified without the need for the merchant to do anything.
Please give this a try and let us know your experience.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Unable to remove my name from Return AddressHi @abbiedoobie,
Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues. If I understand you correctly you are saying that in the Origin Address ( Your store’s address ), you feel the Name field should not be part of the label? This does make sense yes, specially if you entered a value in the Company field.
Let us look into this and get back to you with a solution or fix.
Thanks!

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Horrible – breaks USPS shipping and forces you to payHi @robotor,
Sorry to hear about the issues you experienced. We did send out an email to all legacy live rates users of WooCommerce Shipping & Tax a couple of weeks ago and offered them a solution. If you did not receive this email then please contact support and we will assist further.
We also intentionally do not push in-app migration notices to users of legacy live rates in WooCommerce Shipping & Tax because we knew the functionality were not available to those users.
That being said we also made efforts to be accommodating to users like yourself relying on the legacy live rates so explored solutions. Yesterday we released an update to WooCommerce Shipping & Tax, v 2.8.2, that allows the existing live rates to function via that plugin alongside WooCommerce Shipping. Meaning you can gave have both WooCommerce Shipping and WooCommerce Shipping & Tax active at the same time and live rates will continue working via WooCommerce Shipping & Tax, and all the other shipping functionality will be available via WooCommerce Shipping.
Hopefully this shows our dedication to be accommodation and wanting to help all our customers and would make you reconsider your review.
Thanks!
