Thank you for the reminder. I only just discovered the problem this morning. It turns out the product was bundled and that was causing the issue.

I’m looking at it in firefox on a mac and IE on the PC and they’re showing up differently The search component at the top is lower on the Tours page and there’s spacing issues in the bottom elements.

That’s the weird part about what’s going on…

If you go to the “tours” page it’s set up with the same template but it renders correctly.

If I were to assign the “tours” page as the static home page it would change the layout to what you see on the home page now.

This is the part that’s perplexing. It’s obviously calling for the styles from the style sheet but at the same time it’s not. I don’t know if that made sense or not. It’s something that happens when I assign a page as the static home page. There’s another page under “destinations” that renders the way it should… but when I assign it as the static home page it loses some of its styling.

Regarding point #2… currently when they log in they are directed to their profile page. I would like it if they are directed to their own specific page.

Thank you for all your efforts in trying to help me with my problem. I discovered the problem and thought I would share it here incase others have the same problem.

My client is being hosted by Yahoo Small Business. Yahoo Small Business does not allow .htaccess files on the server. That’s why I could never find the file.

I’m in the process of implementing the work around now. (The messy custom permalink version). I will let you know how it goes.

To be honest, I can’t be sure. I know it’s a yahoo business host. I only have FTP access not hosting account access.

Yes I have the FTP software configured to show hidden files and it’s still not there. This is one part that baffles me. I’ve also read that some servers don’t require a .htaccess file but if you’re using permalinks it might have a .config file. Neither of them seem to be present.

Thank you for your response.

The link you sent refers to the .htaccess file and I can’t find it on the server. I have checked “Show hidden files” and it’s still not showing up. I’ve gone into permalinks and changed them. WP doesn’t give me an error so I an only assume that it has access to the file and is writing to it.

I don’t know if it matters or not, however, the version of WP I’m working in is older. They have plugins that are deprecated so I can’t update the WP version without breaking those plugins.
