We tried Comet Cache again today, since new version was out and it worked without the WSOD. Had some trouble deleting ZenCache after Comet Cache was working. ZenCache wouldn’t delete until we did the pending update, then it deleted normally.

The problem with the mouse not working was resolved with the UpDraftPlus update to version 1.9.46.1. The problem appeared only after updated to WordPress 4.1. Thanks for your replies.

Sorry David, but Nextgen/Photocrati are not installed on either site that I have the problem on. The pop up window looks something like the one in your first response except the text is the normal text, where you can exclude items from the backup. I can’t click on anything in the pop up window, not even close X or Cancel button. I have to hit Esc to close it.

Thank you Richard for the code to allow what I needed. For anyone else looking for this in the future, Richard is working on allowing this in an updated version of the theme, so look for this theme with an update newer then 2013-01-26.
