The theme is called Wish. it’s from Theme Forest. There is a duplicate jquery call which is causing problems with a plug-in which I need to remove.

Yes! Works now. Thanks very much. Not sure why but using just iframe adds about 250px of white space below the video — although I could probably fix that with some CSS. But the iframe async option works and displays perfectly.

I have solved my problem with mail.php not finding new mail messages.

The Codex says:

Choose an account name (postaccount) and password, and enter them.
NOTE: The postaccount name should be the complete [email protected] format, and not just the user name.

And this advice is repeated in this thread and elsewhere.

But I got it to work simply by using the user name and NOT the complete email address format.

I hope this helps others who are having a problems with this.

I am bumping this thread in the hope that someone has come up with an answer. I have checked every setting countless times, tried new email addresses, sent from different clients, verified that spam blocking was not trapping the message, etc. etc.

Still nothing.

Thank you for your help. The blog is now working.

After 3 reinstalls, the 3rd one finally stuck. In the process, I discovered that if I ran into any permissions problems during installation, and I fixed those problems and then ran install.php again, I was always blocked from writing that crucial folder to /themes/.

What eventually worked was a clean reinstall of WordPress with correct permissions to begin with.

Thanks for the help. But still the same. On another attempt, I even tried manually creating the folder that WP wasn’t able to write. No go.

This week I’ve run into seemingly unsolvable problems with phpBB, punBB, and now here. ??
