In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce error won’t let customers make purchasesHi again lovely folks. Thank you for all your help so far. I greatly appreciate it. I rolled my PHP version back to 7.4, and it looks like the error is gone. However, my hosting provider says any version earlier than 8.1 is deprecated. Is this a problem with Woocommerce? Will Woocommerce be able to accept PHP 8.1 eventually?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce error won’t let customers make purchasesI can change my PHP version myself in my cpanel, but in the MultiPHP Manager, it says:
“Warning: PHP versions PHP 5.6, PHP 7.2, PHP 7.3, and PHP 7.4 are?deprecated. We recommend that you update to a supported version of PHP. For more information, read our?PHP?documentation.”

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce error won’t let customers make purchasesThanks Roxy. ??
It looks like I am using PayPal Standard, which I see is not recommended anymore. However, I don’t see PayPal Standard listed in my plugins, so I don’t see how to remove it. It looks like PayPal Payments is now recommended, which I’m more than happy to switch to, but I don’t want to have a conflict.
Also, I have an option in the Woocommerce plugin to enable “Woocommerce Payments”. What is that? Is is a replacement for PayPal and other payments systems?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce error won’t let customers make purchasesDo I have to install a separate plugin? The Woocommerce plugin offers PayPal payments under the basic Payment tab in the general app. All I was inquiring about was what to fill in the boxes I listed above. And I already have my PayPal Business account.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce error won’t let customers make purchasesThanks so much Roxy. I really appreciate eveyone’s help. Wow, you are all so good!
I think I have narrowed it down to the Bluepay plugin, and I went to their website and it looks like they’ve been hacked. I have decided to switch to PayPal to process our transactions. I have set up a new PayPal account, and linked our business bank account. I am a bit confused about all the details to put in though. Do you folks know anything about what to put in for PayPal?
I have acquired my ID from PayPal, and they gave me:
- Client ID
- Secret
However, on the Woocommerce page, it asks for:
- PayPal identity token
- Live API username
- Live API password
- Live API signature
I’m not sure what to put in what box. Can you help?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce error won’t let customers make purchasesThank you so much Xue. I will try those things and see how it goes. When you suggest changing to “Cash on Delivery”, does that mean that people would have no option to pay online?

In reply to: Woocommerce error added to other plugin issuesYes, that was the one! I was just coming back here to thank you, Lisa. I disabled that plugin and I was immediately able to get back into my wp-admin area. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I reposted my Woocommerce question in the Woocommerce forum, but it seems it is being held for moderation review by an admin before it gets posted. Maybe because I copied and pasted some of the same text on the forum. Not sure, but anyhow, thank you for all the guidance! ?? I will wait to hear back from them about the Woocommerce issue.

In reply to: Woocommerce error added to other plugin issuesThank you so much for the thoughtful reply Lisa. I will try deactivating the plugins by renaming them on the hoster and will see if that fixes the login problem for the wp-admin. Also, I didn’t know there was a specific woocommerce forum, so thank you for pointing that out. ??

In reply to: Variations isn't showing on my WooCommerce product menuWhat happened to this forum? You used to be able to actually get answers here. Now nobody even tries to answer your questions. Is this forum useless now? Is there another place people should go for help?

In reply to: Can you password protect files AND pages? No, you don’t understand the question. I’m asking if you can do it in WordPress. I already know how to do it without WordPress. I don’t need to ask my hosting provider that basic information.
But when you do that it creates a page that is just a list of the links to the files on a plain white page, and I want them to appear in the same template and theme as my WorPress site.
