    I don’t know what happened. GoDaddy tried to transfer it for me, and my Web site is completely trashed. The guy manually changed a bunch of stuff in the database for some reason.

    Now they try to tell me that it’s WordPress’s fault.

    It sounds like the easiest thing to do is to start with a new install of WordPress, then just replace my wp-content folder with the old one, but the host only allows 4.1 to be installed, and I hadn’t upgraded WordPress yet. I had planned on doing that after I transferred.

    I ran that speed test program. I received 56.26 download and 4.86 upload.

    I also installed the P3 plug-in, but I’m not really sure what the results mean. It appears that bbPress and P3 were using most of the load time. I received 1.330 seconds for plug-in load time and 93.2% plug-in impact.

    Most of the plug-ins I have don’t show up on the test results. They are just listed under “other”.

    The average ping was 89ms.

    Here is the URL to my Web site. Can you please check it and see how it runs for you? Maybe post a comment or something (registration isn’t required), because sometimes it seems like he hangs up for me when posting stuff.

    I want to make sure any visitors aren’t having a hard time accessing the Web site. It’s going to be a pain to switch my hosting operating system, so I don’t want to do it, unless it’s the real problem.

    I use both wireless and hard line connections, but I am always in the same room as the router. I will also try resetting my router and modem and see if that helps. I haven’t done that in a few months.

    I created a child theme already, because I made a lot of changes to the code, so I moved all of the files that I changed into the child theme directory. I got tired of redoing everything when I updated WordPress.

    It was okay the other way, but I added that code and I think it looks a lot better now. It’s easier on my eyes. I will check it on another monitor as well to see how it looks.

    I might end up changing the color of the line later, so it blends better with the Web site. I just don’t know what to change it to right now.

    Thanks for the help.

    I didn’t know if I was allowed to link my Web site or not.

    Here is a page with comments: My Web site.

    To me, it’s really hard to tell the comments apart when there gets to be a large number of comments. At the very least, I would like to make the horizontal rule a little darker, or change the alternating background color.

    I think part of it, is my monitor, which is getting pretty old, and dark, but there is still very little contrast between the posts.

    Is there any way to tell what is making my site run so slowly, before I switch?

    I’m thinking that it will be a pain to switch my hosting account to Linux.

    I can understand that, but his “review” seems more like an attack against the company, and not a review.

    At no time did he say what was good or bad about the product, he only stated that the company had little financial resources, and that you shouldn’t use their products. It sounds more like someone with a grudge, than a review.

    There is nothing confusing about this software. I had it setup within 5 mins of installing it.

    What would you consider “serious forum software”? Link to the plug-in?

    If you haven’t figured it out yet…

    In order to change the size of the forum description, on the forum home page, add “Code 1” to style.css in the Theme Editor.

    If you want to change the size of the forum posts, add “Code 2” to style.css in the Theme Editor.

    Code 1

    .bbp-forum-content
    {
    	font-size: 12pt !important;
    }

    Code 2

    .bbp-reply-content
    {
    	font-size: 12pt !important;
    }

    You can just copy and paste it at the end of the style.css file. If the font still isn’t big enough, you can change 12pt to 14pt, 16pt, etc…

    Let me know if this fixes it. Thanks.
