In reply to: [EventON] Buttons Block in Event DetailsI don’t understand why this system marked the image as hotlinked. I did try drag and drop initially but then uploaded the image to the media on our site and linked.
The plugin page simply says EventOn 4.3.5. It does not say Lite.
The following link is the image of the EventOn Menu: https://www.nzradioyachtingassociation.co.nz/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/screenshot-2023-08-23-at-083218.png
Looking at the menu, my guess is that it is Lite.

In reply to: [EventON] Buttons Block in Event DetailsHi Ashan,
It is not a case of not being able to add them. It is a case of some not displaying as expected. In Particular the row of buttons but I recognise that is a Kadence block and not a standard block.
Although it is the full licence, I checked with the person who licensed it and it seems that we do not qualify for support. I simply maintain the site content.

In reply to: Block Editor in SafariThe icon you asked about is Kadence Blocks Controls. As I never installed the bulk of the plugins, I am not sure what most actually do. I understand this gives additional blocks for use in editing pages.
If I create a completely new page then it behaves as Adam has in his image. It seems to be pages that have been brought across from the old site.
I will look at disabling plugins to try and work out which are causing problems.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Block Editor in SafariI suspect this page was originally created with Elementor. Editing in Safari when I try to make a link on the text, the page looks like this
There is no edit option bar. If I do the same thing in Chrome then I get the edit option bar at the top of the page.
This is simply trying to add a link to text. It is not trying to use any of the more advanced blocks.
The only pages that I can almost guarantee to get the menu bar are new pages that I have created since we converted to the new theme. An example is the clubs page which in Safari has the edit option bar at the top of the page.

In reply to: Block Editor in SafariThe site is one that I have taken over maintenance. It has been rebuilt copying content from the old site. The previous webmaster used a number of different tools to edit pages and posts. One was Elementor. I have converted these back to blocks using the block editor and I suspect that it is these pages and the events created by EventOn.
Elementor is no longer installed on the new site but it may still have something hanging around especially on pages created with it. It looks like the EventOn use of the block editor is overriding the editors behaviour as well. EventOn events appear as another page/post type but have additional options.
If I create a new page, the editor seems to work without problems although I am wondering whether some of the additional blocks (Kadence, GP) might be causing issues (i.e. they are not providing the correct editing options and consequently no editor bar). The editor bar when it appears is now at the top of the page. That was confusing initially because there was no warning that it would happen. We have a technical person who maintains the site software version and he must have updated without telling me.

In reply to: Block Editor in SafariThanks Adam but the problem is with WordPress Block Editor and not simply when I edit an EventOn event. It happens on pages and posts as well.
