my-hacks used to be the only place to extend WP, now there’s plugins. So most of the popular ‘hack’ should be migrating to the plugin style archetecture. But my-hacks is still useful, it’s a great place to add little bits of code to your own site. You can turn it off if you want. I have my count down function in there.
Verified. Alpha 14 puts the em & en dashs into the RSS, in the 28/4 Beta, they come through as ‘—‘ & ‘–‘. The don’t garbage my reader (SharpReader) but it’s annoying to loose the typography.
Thanks to LaughingLizard, we figured it out. The spam words were causing the problem. I had copy & pasted from the list from the wiki. Even though they pasted in on seperate lines, they weren’t getting recognised as such. Deleting the list and manually readding them fixed it.
Actually, Uptime works fine! ??
I just added echo "Success" as the first line of code in wp-mail.php and it works. Uptime only cares that the word “success” is somewhere in the page contents. Thanks for the tip!
I’ve decided the same thing, even after trying the nightly, and not using the subdomain, the problem was still there. I’ll try it agian tomorrow and see if propagation fixes it, thanks!
Cheers,
Kitten
