In reply to: Vbulletin Login in SidebarI’ve tried disabling all of them. The code just interferes with the wordpress config file somehow. I’ve also found that you can’t use 90% of WordPress’s functions with it giving me the insufficient permissions error.

Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] xCache SupportI’ve had the plugin running for just under two weeks now and I’m impressed with it. Thing is, I’ve had to switch from using xcache to disk because otherwise I’d have to tell my editors my xcache password. That isn’t something I want to do really. I also definitely don’t want to disable the auth process completely.
I’m on a dedicated server and although I realise it’s best to rely on disk enhanced for page caching, I’m pretty certain xcache is better for database and object caching. Is running database and object caching on disk going to cause a huge bottleneck compared to not caching them at all?

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Vbulletin Login in SidebarI’ve done all of this and it worked. However, after adding the code to wp-config.php, certain parts of the WordPress panel stop working. I can’t upload images via Add Post and more annoyingly, I can’t edit any of the plugin settings without getting a “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page” error. These errors go away when I remove the code from wp-config.
I’ve tried every fix I can possibly think of. Please tell me someone has some idea how I can fix this?
Thanks.
I resorted to making a new installation of wordpress to just make sure it wasn’t a server setting causing the problem. It works fine. I’ve decided to just move my content over to the new installation.
Thank you. I’d tried most of those fixes but there were a few I hadn’t seen before. I’ve tried every single one of them now but none of them fixed it. Here’s what I’ve done so far:
Checked folder and file permissions
Forced a db upgrade by changing the version number
Made sure all database prefixes were the same (I never changed it from wp_)
Deleted .htaccess
Removed all plugins and reinstalled them
Removed auth keysMost of the problems in that thread concern not being able to access the admin panel at all but the only thing I can’t access is the plugin settings. Does anyone else have any ideas?

In reply to: Importing Authors via RSSSomeone must have a clue. I know I could edit the rss import tool to include them but I’m no where near that knowledgeable in php.
