I wrapped the form fields in a containing div for control but it only works on the “Your Message” box. The other input fields seem to be governed by something else and it’s not showing up using the Chrome developer tool.

Uh oh. I’ve got Contact Form 7 installed and was thinking about this plugin for getting email addresses on single posts. Now I’m not sure I want to try as I don’t want to disable CF7.

BTW – How does one turn off the default posting features on the blog page that are not widgets? IOW – Which file generates such?

I don’t know – what I have is twentyten w/ responsive plugin but highly customized at my end with the CSS. I did however find this in the sidebar.php file:

/* When we call the dynamic_sidebar() function, it’ll spit out the widgets for that widget area. If it instead returns false, then the sidebar simply doesn’t exist, so we’ll hard-code in some default sidebar stuff just in case. */

so I”m guessing I can just delete it, even if I’m not using the primary widget area at all?
