Same here. Going bacl to version 1.7.8 makes the site running again on WordPress 3.1. So I stay at this version.

Now one week has passed and no further reaction from mhains nor from other users. That makes me thinking that this case should be closed.

I suppose you didn’t filled the field for the refreshtime with a proper value. I tested it here and got heavy load due a javascript “setTimeout(…, 0) – call.

New Version sets the refresh-time to a default of 10 seconds, if it is less or unset.

Think this could be the fix for the reason of your trouble.

Hi, could you explain, how you configured the plugin? I mean, if possible, could you export the plugin-options from the database with a query like this:

SELECT *
FROM wp_options
WHERE option_name = 'widget_blogintroduction'

I couldn’t explain to me, what’s going wrong at your side.

Did you activate the ajax-refresh and what refresh-Intervall you entered?

How many entries do you have in the category you used?

This sounds all very strange to me but I need some info to do something like a diagnosis of the problem comming up there at your side.

You must open the file “link-import.php” in a text-editor of your trust and search for the line that is commented with the single “-” ($opml = wp_remote_fopen($opml_url);). This line you must comment out and put in the code marked with “+” after the line… then it would work fantastic ??

cfm, it’s fixed in the 2.1.3-Release. I’ve tested it out with my google-reader.opml-File.

So I think, this case is closed.

I see, using this procedure (Uploading and importing via http) works fine but a bit “uncomfortable”.

It’s a work-around till there would be a solution for the direct upload from local file. Thanx a lot, you made my day ??

The problem is still unsolved as I could say from my point of view.

Hope lies in the next release of WP *g*… maybe it’ll be fixed there.
