Here are more details of this issue

The 30 recipients, individually, and at a time of their choosing, went to this URL:

    https://www.omgc.info/wordpress/?page_id=27301

to order a product being offered by our car club.

Each of the 30 people filled in the form and submitted the form from their own home on their own computers.

The form was delivered by the Visual Form Builder plug-in by email to the individual who ordered the product, as well as a copy of the order to the person responsible to collect the orders for the products (the Regalia Director).

The WP Mail Logging/Email Log does show the TIME and RECEIVER and SUBJECT for the order submitted.

    on March 27 @ 16:37

    time receiver subject

    [ 2023-03-27 16:37:24 [email protected] Regalia Purchase ]

    [ 2023-03-27 16:37:24 [email protected] Regalia Purchase ]

Then on March 27 @ 18:07 almost 2 hours later

The WP Mail Logging/Email Log shows the TIME and RECEIVER and SUBJECT for the order submitted again,

and the individual who submitted the order, received another email,

and the individual who submitted the order was concerned that his order had somehow been duplicated.

The individual who submitted the original order did not repeat the order action at the URL.

    [ 2023-03-27 18:07:10 [email protected] Regalia Purchase ]

Of the 30 individuals who did submit an order, 5 received both the original order submission and an additional order submission,

some only minutes apart and some hours apart – all of the 5 individuals did not resubmit an order; it just appeared to ‘submitted itself’.

And the person responsible to collect the orders for the products also received a copy of the additional order.

The other 25 individuals who submitted original orders did not get any subsequent/duplicate order confirmations.

I have verified all 5 email addresses at the email-checker site.

I may have misled you a bit. I think the Plug-In that is causing the problem is Visual Form Builder (version 3.1). The WP Mailing Log is the tool that is reporting what things are being sent by the Visual Form Builder plug-in.

That was the problem! 15 of my 16 lists had no fields selected. I have no idea how that happened between amr-users V4.26 and amr-users V4.56 update. All was working fine before – although I do admit I’m a novice at this and my typing fingers may have been a bit too enthusiastic. I have to repopulate the fields into the lists (and my memory isn’t so great) but I’ll muddle along till I get what I want. Thank you!
