nevermind.
I was using the “tiger style administration” plugin and seems it has/had a bug, where i would try click on the items on the right of the edit post page, such as post slug, but it would never open anything, had to turn off the plugin, access the post slug form then change it and then activate the plugin again.

its a great plugin though, will have to see if this is a known bug.

so permalinks for articles are now working but page permalinks come up with error not found. try clicking on colophon in the sidebar as thats a page.

any ideas?
