Thanks here it is. I am sorry it I am not able to explain it better, let me try to recreate the scenario.

I add a new product to my store, and someone buys it. All the info is reflected in the order history and via email, including a picture of the product.

Then the product goes out of stock, I delete the product, but I dont delete the media.

If the customer who bought that product tries to access the order history, since the product is deleted is unable to see the details of the order, and only sees a fatal error. The reason of this, is because to pull out the image of the product the code I have put uses the product that no longer exists. I am not sure if there is a solution for my issue, how to display the image withouth refering to the product ?? I want to show the image of the products eventhough it is no longer available, just for reference purposes in order history.

The problem is with one customer now, but I suspect this could happen to me more often. I resell clothes and shoes, and often time those products get out of stock, so in bulk I delete products (not the media) and then I upload new ones. If I delete a product that someone bought previously, they will see that fatal error in their order history since the code tries to find the product that it no longer exists, even though the media still is there.

For now I have disable to show the pictures in the order history, but I am not sure if there is any way to display pictures without pointing to the product, instead pointing or referring to the media using the sku for example?
