I finally now see the option on the left side of the tab in wordpress, but when you click it only a blank pages comes up saying “smart reporter lite”

Righto, how i fixed this for the time being, i removed all lines in the tables wp_wpsc_visitors, wp_wpsc_visitor_meta that were references to the user account I was having issues with. I’ll post again if the error returns.

I dont allow users on our site except the admin so I deleted ALL visitors from the day this problem started…

basically wp-admin is unusable while this is happening. I deleted the wp e-commerce plugin and am uploading an older version…if it makes a difference. Otherwise, our business is screwed as of now because of this. I also use gold-cart in conjunction with it.

My boss is looking for the idea of handing out codes to be entered online at checkout, so that the person essentially gets a percentage of the sale from the code being entered. I can’t tell if your plugin does that…

updating WPEC seemed to fix it ??

somehow, I don’t know how it’s possible, but the problem just disappeared on it’s own. I wonder if my host caused the issue somehow. I haven’t checked on this in 2 weeks, but damn if it’s not fixed.

I am wary of upgrading to 4.2.2 for fear I might break something else.

from my other thread about the shopping cart, this fixed that problem too.

the file I needed to find was wpsc-shopping_cart_page.php in my themes folder inside of wp-content folder. apparently it was heavily edited, so I was able to restore the original and regain functionality. man what a PITA

so far, coupons don’t really work in the way they were meant to. they apply discounts on things before even entering the code, unless it has something to do with cookies.

I have found another option maybe by using variations to control pricing…..

Oddly enough, I have noticed in the file: wpsc-shopping_cart_page.php on line 250 that it says: <?php _e(‘Total Shipping:’, ‘wpsc’); ?>

yet, on screen it only says “Shipping:” without the word “Total” included.

I’m assuming the actual problem occurs in file cart.class.php maybe?
