Hi Deepakl,
Here are three screenshots that might indicate the problem a bit more.
I want the content to align a bit more to the left, which is what I have
done in my visual editor but since removing some of the sidebars I can’t get
the copy to appear in a way that is a bit tidier and more streamlined.
Thanks.- This reply was modified 6 years, 1 month ago by kian1977.

In reply to: [Astra] How to display different images on the SidebarThanks @deepakl,
I will give it a go.
There are a couple of pages where I don’t want to use a sidebar at all. For example, on my about page. Where I have removed the sidebar the formatting of the content has changed and I need to realign it.
I have tried adjusting the container width and alternating between ‘content boxed’ and just ‘boxed,’ but elements of my copy still appear full width on my about page. Do you by chance no know how to correct that without reinstalling the sidebars?
Thank you.Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: [Astra] Links won’t appear after I publish blogHi Anjali,
Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I missed your reply the other day. Apologies for that.
I tried sharing the problem I am having as a screenshot but I Can’t upload it as a JPEG or anything else.
I have one blog post on my website which is embedded in my question.
In the first section of my post, ‘Have a Schedule and Stick to it,’ there is a short piece of text halfway down that page that reads ‘to do list. ‘It should be in red.
Near the end of the post and under the header ‘Regular Breaks Improve Productivity’ there is a piece of text that reads ‘Short YouTube Videos’ which should also be in red, but does not appear. Both links work but only appear as black text. But they both appear in a red font before I press publish.I have checked that my links are not set to the default for the theme (customize appearance) and have tried deactivating plugins and reactivating them plus emptying the cache.
I think it may be that I need CSS to override the theme so that they will appear as red hyperlinks – which is what I want.
Thank you,

In reply to: Links won’t show properly after publishing postThanks for getting back to me and sorry for the delay with my reply. Thanks for your advice @sean. I tried what you suggested but no luck.
@jaycbrf, the text that I am trying to add links to is on my one blog post that is on the site at the moment. It’s the two pieces of text that read ‘To Do List’ and ‘Short work out videos.’ The first example is in the section ‘Have a Schedule and Stick to it’ and the second is toward the end of the blog in the third section.
Is there a piece of CSS that will allow me to override the theme?
Thanks again.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: CSS to align logo leftThanks t-p,
I made the change as you suggested but now it is all too bunched up – as you can see.
Is there a happy medium between the two? I tried playing around with the margin configurations a bit, but no luck so far. Thanks again for your time.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: CSS to align logo leftThanks t-p,
that worked quite well by simply adding the code to my additional CSS box in the appearance menu. Do you by chance know a piece of CSS that would close the space a bit between my title on the landing page (Need a writer?) and the short piece of body copy below? That space is kind of annoying. No problem if you’re not sure. I am going to learn some basic CSS in the near future, which means I hopefully won’t have to post on here quite so frequently.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: CSS to align logo leftThanks t-p,
I’ll try that later. Quick question: Do I find the CSS rule that you mentioned by navigating to the dashboard/appearance/editor in WordPress and then change the code to what you have suggested?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Help with deleting border/shifting logo and text.Thank you,
I shall post it in the relevant forum and see if I get a response. I shall also look for a more contemporary theme. The problem I have at the moment is because I have limited experience I need a theme that is not wildly different otherwise it will take me quite a bit of time to customize it. Thanks for your help, though. Appreciated.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Remove Borders from LifestyleOkay, great,
Thanks again Steven for all your help.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Remove Borders from LifestyleThanks, Steven that worked, perfectly. Much appreciated. It’a lot to learn. And thanks for correcting the typo too. I had one more quick question if you are able to help? Do you know how to neatly divide line spacing? I you note on the link I sent you, the last line of my content is single-spaced when ideally I would like a small gap between those two lines? I tried to do in via the edit-page function on WordPress, but could not get quite the right result. Does this require coding too, or do I simply need to explore the edit-page functions a bit more?

In reply to: Remove Borders from LifestyleThank you, Steven,
I only really started the website last couple of days, so pretty new to it. But I would like to be able to remove the black borders, if possible?
