In your home page template you may be missing the template tag to get the footer. Also you can try looking at your other page layouts and see if your missing any code to get your footer, for your home page. Hope this helps.
You might have installed it incorrectly. If you go in the dashboard of your WordPress and go to settings- general- page, you then need to change your WordPress Address URL and Site Address URL to what you want it to be. I hope this helps.
