Ah, I see. Well, as I was reading about the P2 theme I found a screenshot somewhere that had the subscribe link where I described it, so I was mostly confused why it’s not there on my installation. I guess they must have modified the P2 theme on their site. Thanks for your help, anyway!

It didn’t work. I tried it and my site didn’t load at all. I made sure it was before the closing php, too.

Ok, never mind for now. I did something awful and had to restore the site to a backup. Things are working now, but it’s a different theme that I’m wanting to stop using.

Fixed it. I had to “Remove All Website Data”

Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Remove All Website Data

I tried reseting my cache. No dice. The favicon.ico is now located in my root WordPress directory, parent theme, and child theme.

The favicon works in the back-end now, but as soon as I’m looking at the front-end site it disappears.

Well, I just checked and it seems to work fine in Firefox. So I guess the problem is Safari.

Correction! It seems that the favicon works only for users that aren’t logged in. Could it be something to do with bbpress or buddypress? I know buddypress adds some kind of a persistent header when you’re logged in?

P.S. I’m not looking forward to the changes that Minecraft 1.8’s name changes will bring. What is Mojang thinking? What will PMC, Minecraftforum.net, etc. do? I suppose like everyone else they’ll just play along…

I re-updated to 2.8 and it seems to be working fine. If it breaks things again, I’ll be sure and use the contact form. Thanks!

Wow. You’re not gonna believe this. It was the JetPack plugin! Is it possible for a plugin to conflict with a theme? My theme is rather old… ?

I suppose this would warrant a new thread now that my site is fixed (sort of)?

Kjodle, that’s true. And I’ve already google’d it. Except NONE of them describe all the strange, garbled code everywhere. Oh well, guess I’ll dig through all their solutions just the same…

Wow, you were right. The Google+ plugin conflicts with it. Is there anything I can do?
