In reply to: [Easy Modal] Modals not opening after updateAfter today’s update, the modals are appearing now. However, all of my original modals were lost. Fortunately, I had a backup of my modal content, but I have to incur a moderate time cost to manually restore my modals.
Observation: The modals are no longer automatically centered for me. Under Display Options, I can set “the distance from the right edge of the screen”, but the centering will be inconsistent for modals. Is there a setting I’m overlooking to center all modals?

In reply to: [Easy Modal] Modals not opening after updateI’m using Easy Modal at https://www.TheLSA.org/writing
If you click on a hyperlink on that page, none of the modals appear. Prior to updating to the latest version, the modals would appear.

In reply to: [Easy Modal] Modals not opening after updateI am experiencing the same issue after updating within the last hour.
This has happened to me in the past, and as a result, I am hesitant to update every time there is a new version.

In reply to: [Easy Modal] Issues after updateI also had issues after updating to the new version. Fortunately, Daniel was quick to reply to my emails with helping me find a solution.

In reply to: 404 Error for Old Blog PostI fixed the problem. I called my hosting company (bluehost) and we did some trouble shooting.
I ended up logging into phpmyadmin (through cpanel) to make some changes to my database. For some reason the post status was “trash” and I changed it to “publish” to make it reappear.

In reply to: 404 Error for Old Blog PostI can change the permalink to anything except the original permalink. When I change it back to its original, I receive the 404 error. See screenshots:

In reply to: 404 Error for Old Blog PostKrishna,
I believe you are missing the problem. I am well aware the post is visible because I changed the permalink. The problem is that when I try to change the post permalink back to its original permalink, I get the 404 error. The reason why it is desirable for me to have my original permalink (the-tale-of-the-blackjack-singer vs blackjack) is because I have more Facebook likes with the original permalink.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 404 Error for Old Blog PostI re-published the link: https://www.kevinvelasco.com/blackjack
If I attempt to change the above post to https://www.kevinvelasco.com/the-tale-of-the-blackjack-singer (the original permalink from when I first published it in 2011), the 404 error occurs.
I deactivated all plugins and reverted to Twenty Eleven theme – no luck. It’s an odd error – this post seems to be the only one giving me problems! Is it database related? I might be able to do some kind of database restore through my hosting’s cpanel.
