As I’ve mentioned several times here and at least 5X with jetPack support, we already are approved and using Twitter Cards. Now at least your support documentation is mostly correct. The following problem remains, though:
JM Twitter cards works. JetPack publicize doesn’t.
Thanks for the reply. Here’s the things:
– Your documentation doesn’t say anywhere that twitter cards are required
– When I was using twitter cards + JetPack Publicize, I got no twitter card images
– JM Twitter cards works.
– JetPack publicize doesn’t.Thanks,
JM Twitter Cards UserOK, so we got this question answered the hard way. For all future users who expect an image to be included when you use JetPack Publicize to post to twitter, the makers of JetPack have this to say:
Facebook and Twitter Publicize select images that are at least 200 x 200 pixels in the following order:
– Featured image
– An image attached to the post and inserted
– Any other image in the post (not attached but perhaps linked)
Note: If you wish to use Twitter Cards you will need to submit your website to Twitter for them to be displayed. You can do so here. That’s the exact text from here: https://jetpack.me/support/publicize/#images
What that ACTUALLY MEANS is: ” it would seem to make sense that Cards would be required” for images to be included when you post to Twitter using JetPack Publicize. In other words, Twitter Cards **are required**.
So, don’t use JetPack publicize. Use JM Twitter Cards instead. Wish I had done that hours ago.
Thanks for chiming in. I understand, just saw dozens of other posts after mine getting answered, closed, resolved, etc.
RE: “Have you tried placing the image in “featured image” on lower right hand side when you are creating the post “set featured image”?”
Yes, that’s the only use case I have, but it doesn’t work. I’m sure it’s just some setting I’m missing, but I don’t know what that setting might be. Right now, the tweets work just fine, but none of them contains any image.

Bump again. Hello?!?!?!? WTH?
Also submitted this query via the contact form. Nothing. What’s it take to get an answer here?
Hallo? Anyone home? Yes, I’m bumping this back up to the top.
Bump? JetPack documentation states the following:
Facebook and Twitter Publicize select images that are at least 200 x 200 pixels in the following order:
Featured image
An image attached to the post and inserted
Any other image in the post (not attached but perhaps linked)I get nothing. No image, ever. Using Twitter, LinkedIn, and G+. I tried Twitter Cards, which was fairly simple to setup, but that’s not a tweet with an image, and so it gets far less engagement. Just need to include the Featured Image with each tweet. JetPack Publicize SAYS it does this, but it does not work. Or at least I cannot get it to work.
Help please.

In reply to: [WP RSS Multi Importer] Version 3.0?Allen,
Hadn’t seen any RSS autopost updates all night, so I went to the diagnostics page, and got this message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 262121 bytes) in /home/cd8a/public_html/atlantatechblogs.com/wp-includes/SimplePie/Parser.php on line 343
Can you help?

In reply to: [WP RSS Multi Importer] Version 3.0?Nope. Did not work. Freaked out WP, turning my Chrome wp-admin session into a dropbox UI loop. No idea what caused it. Had to completely clear the browser history/cache and reboot. Very odd.
