There is the possibility that the version I just released might fix this issue (Althought, I’m not positive as I have not been able to reproduce).
Please test and let me know if you’re still having issues.
The “Headers already sent” error should be fixed now with the latest version I just uploaded. There are a few other bugs documented within here that I have not had time to work on, but this was a simple stupid mistake on my part so I wanted to push to the next version now, but will be fixing bugs and implementing new features very shortly. Just gotta find the time….
Are you sure your settings were successfully exported and the file isn’t blank, right?
Sounds like a good idea, I gotta find the time to do it, but I’ll definitely integrate that into the next release. Thanks for the idea and as always, glad to be helping out the WP community.
@elarequi, I’d say go ahead and try this again on the same host, as I have now changed the way it exports and it isn’t using the tempnam() function which is one of the same problems you were having.
Got it, @curdaneta. I just uploaded a new version of the plugin that should fix that issue.
Try it out and let me know ??
Not a problem at all, I’ll still look into the green confirmation box appearing before it’s finished, but definitely glad to hear it worked still!
All subsequent errors are based off the error that the upload to /tmp did not succeed.
The first error message tells me everything I need to know.
Warning: tempnam() [function.tempnam]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 10153 is not allowed to access /tmp owned by uid 0 in wp-content/plugins/widget-settings-importexport/widget_data.php on line 323
Seems like your server doesn’t have access to the /tmp directory to upload files to. For this I’d say talk to your host, as this isn’t an issue with the plugin, but an issue with the server configuration.
Is there any chance you could send me the two files and let me know which one is from 3.2 and which is from 3.3?
My email address is [email protected]
I just uploaded a new version where it wont redirect to a blank page with WP installed in sub directory.
You can send the debug info to me at [email protected]
I know why it is redirecting to the non existing page and will definitely fit that in to the next release.
Not sure why a blank file was produced though. Hopefully the debug info you send me will help. What versions of WP are these installations using?
I apologize that it’s breaking between versions. This is not something I tested for, but I can definitely see the value in it. I don’t have time today, but within the next couple of days I can take a look and try to get a new version released with this feature. If you don’t have a couple of days to wait, you could grab all rows with their option_name starting with ‘widget_’ and also the ‘sidebars_widgets’ option as well from the same table and just manually import those, very carefully of course. Not really suggested, but it is an option if you don’t have a few days to wait.
Thanks for pointing this out! I just released a new version (0.2) this morning that fixes that issue.
That is exactly what I like to hear! Thanks!
If you like the plugin, please go ahead and rate it!
