In all likelihood, this is due to an image tag being wrapped in an H2. Image content is stripped from H2s, which yields an empty heading, which violates Apple News Format standards. You should be able to check this in the Text tab in the editor.

Version 1.2.3 is now available and contains support for Facebook components. Instagram support is now in the backlog, but is not attached to a particular release version.

The core functionality of the plugin will not look at custom fields, only at core WordPress fields. If you would like to inject the video content into the generated JSON from a custom field, you can use either the apple_news_exporter_content_pre or apple_news_exporter_content filter: https://github.com/alleyinteractive/apple-news/wiki/action-and-filter-hooks#adminapple-actionsindexclass-exportphp-1

I would also recommend updating to the latest version, which was just released this week (1.2.3). We included a bugfix for some scenarios that result in the INVALID_DOCUMENT error.
